This is a 4.8V, 700mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Globus Elite SII, Genesy S2, Duo Tens, and A3R electrical stimulators. It uses OEM part number FKG3870 and slots directly into the battery compartment of these portable therapy units. Capacity is 700mAh (3.36Wh), matching the original cell specification.

Device not completing boot sequence on new battery
The Elite SII runs a BMS learn cycle on first use with a new cell. If the device stalls mid-boot or displays an error, the BMS has not yet mapped the new cell's internal resistance profile. This is normal for Ni-MH chemistry on first installation. Power the unit off fully, then restart and allow the boot sequence to complete uninterrupted. One full charge-discharge cycle clears the learn cycle and resolves the fault.
Charge indicator not reaching 100% on the first charge
On the first charge after installation, the onboard charge IC applies a conservative current limit to the new cell. This is expected behaviour — the controller has not yet calibrated to the replacement cell's capacity curve. The indicator will plateau below full and may show 80–90% even after a complete charge cycle. Run one full discharge to the device's automatic cutoff, then charge again to full; the charge IC recalibrates and the indicator reads correctly from the second cycle onward.

My Elite SII is alarming low battery right after a confirmed full charge — why?
The BMS self-test threshold is calibrated to the OEM cell's internal resistance. A new replacement cell has a slightly different resistance profile on its first cycle, which triggers the low-battery threshold even at full charge. This is not a fault with the battery. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle and the BMS will recalibrate to the new cell — the alarm clears after that first conditioning cycle.
The device powered off mid-session and now won't turn back on — what happened?
If the replacement cell sat in storage before installation, self-discharge may have dropped the cell voltage below the BMS recovery threshold — the BMS locks out to protect the cell. Connect the charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on; the charge IC needs time to trickle-charge the cell back above the 4.0V recovery floor before the BMS will release the lockout.
The stimulator keeps shutting off unexpectedly during treatment — is this the new battery?
Ni-MH cells deliver higher internal resistance in the first 10 charge-discharge cycles, and the Elite SII's load profile during active stimulation stresses the cell harder than standby draw. The BMS interprets the resulting voltage sag as a low-cell event and cuts output to protect the circuit. This behaviour reduces noticeably after 5–10 full cycles as the cell's internal resistance drops. Complete those conditioning cycles before relying on the unit for extended clinical sessions.
