Fits Goddess CL 590 cordless vacuum cleaners replacing the original 14.4V Ni-MH pack.
14.4V 3000mAh capacity restores full motor draw on carpet and hard floors without voltage sag.
Connector seats vertically into dock port with locking tab — verify tab alignment before insertion.
Bench testing showed stable discharge curve under sustained motor load with no early BMS cutoff.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock continuously — Ni-MH cells develop permanent capacity fade under trickle charge, so charge to full and remove from dock immediately.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Goddess CL 590 — 14.4V Ni-MH 3000mAh Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V Ni-MH battery pack rated at 3000mAh (43.2Wh), built to fit the Goddess CL 590 cordless handheld vacuum. It replaces the original cell pack when capacity fade leaves the vacuum unable to sustain suction through a full cleaning session. Dimensions are 91.53 × 69.50 × 47.40mm — confirm these against your existing pack before ordering.

  • CL 590 compatibility: The CL 590 uses a 14.4V Ni-MH pack at this specific form factor. The motor controller is tuned to this voltage rail, and the connector orientation matches the original pack directly.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and discharge on the CL 590 platform. The BMS held stable under sustained motor load and cut in cleanly at low-voltage threshold without nuisance trips.
  • Dock charging habit on the CL 590: Ni-MH cells in cordless vacuums degrade faster under continuous trickle charge than Li-ion packs do. Charge the CL 590 fully, then remove it from the dock. Do not leave it docked between uses.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This is not always a battery fault. When the CL 590 filter is partially blocked, the motor draws more current than rated to maintain airflow. That elevated draw causes voltage to sag at the cell pack earlier than the indicator expects, making the vacuum feel underpowered with charge still showing. Clean the filter first — if suction recovers, the pack is fine. If sag continues on a clean filter, the cells have lost capacity and the pack needs replacing.

Motor cuts out mid-use then recovers after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. Under sustained restricted suction — a blocked nozzle or clogged filter — the motor draws a spike above the BMS current threshold and the pack shuts off briefly to protect the cells. Once current drops, the BMS resets and power returns. Clear the blockage or clean the filter before concluding the pack is faulty. If the cutout continues on a clear airpath, check that pack voltage reads at least 14.4V after a full charge cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Goddess CL 590 loses suction halfway through vacuuming but the battery light still shows full — what's going on?

A partially blocked filter forces the motor to pull more current than the pack expects, which causes voltage to sag even when the indicator shows charge remaining. Clean the filter and nozzle first — this resolves the symptom in most cases. If suction is still weak on a clean airpath, the cells have degraded and can no longer hold voltage under load. Fit a new pack and run a full charge before testing.

The vacuum cuts out for a few seconds during use, then comes back on by itself — is the battery failing?

That behaviour is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dying pack. It happens when the motor hits a current spike — usually from a blocked nozzle or filter pushing the draw above the BMS threshold. The pack shuts off briefly to protect the cells, then resets once current drops. Clear any blockage and clean the filter; if the cutout stops, the pack is still healthy.

I've had the replacement battery for a few months and the CL 590 already feels like it's lost capacity — is that normal this quickly?

Ni-MH cells in cordless vacuums fade faster than expected when left on the charging dock continuously. Constant trickle charge after a full state of charge degrades cell capacity significantly faster than charge-then-remove cycles. If the vacuum has been sitting docked between every use, that is the cause. From now on, charge fully and disconnect from the dock — do not leave it docked overnight or between sessions.
