Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

On Ni-MH cells, voltage sag under motor load starts before the charge indicator registers a problem. When airflow is restricted — blocked filter, full dustbin, or a soft-blockage in the nozzle — the motor draws sustained current above the BMS threshold. The BMS cuts power to protect the cell, then resets once current normalises. Clear the restriction and check that the dustbin is below maximum fill. If the trip still occurs on an unobstructed vacuum, measure resting cell voltage — it should read at or above 18V when fully charged.
