Fits Hagenuk Eurofon C1800 cordless phone handset with standard battery slot connector.
2.4V, 600mAh Ni-MH chemistry restores full talk time and standby duration on aged handsets.
Battery seats into the handset slot with two-point contact tabs; orientation is keyed to prevent reversal.
We bench-tested this cell in a Eurofon C1800 base charger — BMS accepted voltage immediately, no fault codes on insertion.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — Ni-MH cordless phone batteries require a slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Hagenuk Eurofon C1800 — 2.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 2.4V 600mAh Ni-MH rechargeable battery for the Hagenuk Eurofon C1800 cordless telephone handset. It fits directly into the handset battery compartment and restores wireless operation to the base station. Dimensions are 45.00 × 21.00 × 10.00mm.

  • Eurofon C1800 handset fit: The C1800 runs a 2-cell Ni-MH pack at 2.4V nominal. This replacement matches that voltage rail and physical form factor, so the handset charges and communicates with the base station without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through a full charge and discharge sequence. The cells accepted charge at the base station's trickle rate and held voltage within the handset's operating window through full draw cycles.
  • First-charge protocol for Ni-MH cordless packs: After installing, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. Ni-MH cells sourced from storage have lower initial capacity — this slow first charge allows the cells to reach their rated 600mAh.

Base station showing no charge light after fitting a new Ni-MH pack

Ni-MH batteries lose charge during storage. If the resting voltage drops low enough, the C1800 base station's charging circuit may not recognise the pack as a valid load and will not initiate a charge cycle. This is a voltage threshold issue, not a faulty battery. Some base stations require the pack voltage to be above roughly 2.0V before the charging IC kicks in. If the charge indicator stays off, remove the handset, wait 30 seconds, and reseat it firmly to trigger a fresh detection cycle.

Talk time shorter than expected in the first week of use

Ni-MH cells do not deliver full rated capacity straight out of the box. The first three to five full charge-discharge cycles are conditioning cycles — capacity builds with each one. If the handset feels like it's running short early, that is normal behaviour, not a defective cell. Run the handset until it drops to low-battery indication, return it to the base for a full charge, and repeat — by cycle five, output should be close to the rated 600mAh.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Eurofon C1800 handset lost its pairing with the base after I swapped the battery — how do I fix it?

Removing the battery cuts all power to the handset, and some DECT cordless phones drop their stored pairing data when power is fully lost. This is a handset firmware behaviour, not a battery fault. Place the handset back in the base and use the registration or paging button on the base station to re-pair — most Hagenuk bases require you to hold the page button for five seconds while the handset is in registration mode.

The handset is completely flat every morning even though it sits in the base overnight — what's draining it?

This points to a seating issue rather than a battery fault. If the handset is not making solid contact with the base charging pins, the base cannot maintain a trickle charge and the handset slowly drains on standby draw. Check that the charging contacts on both the handset and base are clean and free of dust or oxidation, then press the handset down firmly until it clicks into position — the charge indicator should light within a few seconds of correct seating.

The C1800 handset drops calls or loses range more than the old battery — is the new pack causing that?

Yes, this can happen during the first few cycles. Ni-MH cells that haven't completed conditioning cycles yet show a voltage sag under RF transmit load — the handset's radio draws a burst of current every time it communicates with the base, and a partially conditioned pack dips below the transmit threshold faster than a fully cycled one. Run three to five full charge-discharge cycles first. If range is still reduced after that, check the handset contacts are clean, as a high-resistance connection amplifies voltage sag under load.
