Fits Hasee HP550, HP560, HP650, HP640 notebooks; replaces OEM part numbers SQU-805, SQU-804, SQU-807, SW8-3S4400-B1B1, and related equivalents.
11.1V 4400mAh lithium-ion pack delivers 48.84Wh total — sufficient voltage and capacity to match stock Hasee configurations for this generation.
Connector mates directly to the HP550 charging port; physical envelope is 204.90 x 49.80 x 20.50mm with standard locking tab orientation.
We bench-tested the SQU-805 replacement against HP550 firmware; BMS accepted the new cell without fault codes and held constant voltage during full CPU load cycles.
After installation, run a full discharge to sleep cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warnings that appear after every cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Hasee HP550 / HP650 Series — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SQU-805)

This is an 11.1V, 4400mAh (48.84Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Hasee HP550, HP560, HP640, and HP650 notebook series. It fits the original battery bay and connects to the same three-pin connector as the factory cell. OEM part numbers covered include SQU-804, SQU-805, SQU-807, and SW8-3S4400-B1B1.

  • HP550 / HP650 platform fit: These models share the same 11.1V three-cell series configuration, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers the full range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on an HP550 board. The BMS completed full charge termination correctly, and the protection circuit tripped at the expected over-discharge threshold without fault codes.
  • Post-install calibration on the HP550: After fitting, run the laptop on battery until it reaches hibernate cutoff — do not interrupt. Then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after swapping cells on this platform.

Laptop shutting down at 20–30% shown on the HP550 and HP650

On the HP550, the fuel gauge IC estimates remaining charge based on learned discharge curves from the previous cell. A new cell has different internal resistance, so the voltage curve doesn't match what the IC expects. The system triggers shutdown before the cell is actually empty. Running two full discharge-to-hibernate and uninterrupted charge cycles teaches the IC the new cell's curve and corrects the cutoff point.

BIOS reporting battery health as poor or "unknown" immediately after swap

The BIOS reads health data from EEPROM registers in the battery's fuel gauge IC. A replacement cell ships with factory EEPROM defaults that don't match the HP550's charge history — the BIOS flags this as degraded or unrecognised. This is not a fault with the cell itself. Complete one full calibration cycle first: discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge to 100% without interruption, and the BIOS health status will update correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions

My HP550 shows a different Wh rating in system info after fitting this battery — is something wrong with the cell?

No — this is an EEPROM data mismatch, not a cell fault. The replacement cell's fuel gauge IC ships with factory-default EEPROM values that may report a rated Wh figure different from what the HP550's system info expects from the original cell. The actual chemistry and capacity match the spec. Run one full calibration cycle — discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — and the reported Wh figure will align.

The HP550 fuel gauge jumps around wildly for the first few charges — 60% one minute, 30% the next. What's happening?

The fuel gauge IC on the HP550 motherboard calibrates against discharge curves it learned from the old cell. A new cell has different internal resistance characteristics, so the IC's estimates are inaccurate until it maps the new curve. This settles after two to three full discharge-and-charge cycles. Do not interrupt the first two cycles mid-charge — let each one run from hibernate cutoff all the way to 100%.

New battery installed but charge stops at around 80% and won't go higher on the HP550 — charger is still connected.

Some Hasee BIOS versions include a charge-limit setting that caps charging at 80% to reduce cell wear — this is firmware behaviour, not a battery fault. Check the BIOS power management menu under "Battery Charge Control" or equivalent and set the threshold to 100%. If no such setting appears, update the BIOS to the latest version for the HP550, as earlier firmware revisions handle charge thresholds differently.
