Fits LG XNote R410 and replaces SQU-805, SQU-804, SQU-807, and SW8-3S4400-B1B1 battery part numbers.
11.1V 4400mAh Li-ion cell restores full charge capacity to aged packs that no longer sustain voltage under CPU and display load simultaneously.
Connector seats straight into the XNote R410 battery slot with positive contact on the left side and mechanical locking tab on the right.
We tested this cell on an R410 platform — the BMS accepted the pack on first insertion and delivered full voltage at cold startup without precharge delay.
After installation, run one full discharge to hibernation cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% to reset the BIOS battery learn cycle and clear false health warnings.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

LG XNote R410 / R510 Series — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SQU-805)

This 11.1V, 4400mAh Li-ion battery replaces the OEM cell in the LG XNote R410, R510, R560, and R580 laptops. It fits all four series using the same SQU-805 connector and BMS handshake. Capacity is sourced directly from product specifications at 48.84Wh.

  • R410 / R510 / R560 / R580 platform fit: All four XNote series share the same 11.1V three-cell battery rail, identical connector housing, and BMS communication protocol — that is why one cell covers all four models without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on an R410 chassis. The BMS accepted the new cell without fault codes, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff without requiring a manual reset.
  • Post-install calibration on the XNote R410: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge until the laptop hibernates at low-battery cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.

BIOS reporting poor battery health after fitting a new cell

The XNote R410 BIOS reads health data from an EEPROM embedded in the original battery pack. When a new cell arrives, that EEPROM data does not match the charge history the BIOS expects. The system flags the battery as degraded even though the cell is fresh. Running two full discharge-to-hibernate then charge-to-100% cycles overwrites the BIOS learn table and clears the warning.

Laptop shuts down abruptly at 20–30% charge shown on screen

This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual voltage curve. The reported percentage drifts high, so the display shows 25% while the cell voltage has already dropped past the safe cutoff threshold under combined CPU and display load. The fix is the same calibration cycle — full discharge to hibernate, then a full uninterrupted charge. After two cycles the fuel gauge IC locks onto the correct curve and the shutdowns stop. Confirm the cell rests at 12.4–12.6V fully charged with no load.

Frequently Asked Questions

My LG XNote R510 shows the replacement battery as "0% available (plugged in, not charging)" right after install — what's wrong?

The fuel gauge IC on the R510 loses its reference point when the cell is swapped and can report 0% or refuse to charge until it re-initialises. Disconnect the AC adapter, let the laptop run on battery until it hibernates from low charge, then reconnect AC and charge straight to 100% without interrupting. One full cycle is usually enough for the IC to lock onto the new cell and start reporting correctly.

The XNote R410 BIOS is showing a Wh rating of 47Wh for this battery but the spec says 48.84Wh — is the cell faulty?

The difference comes from EEPROM data stored in the battery pack — it carries the rated Wh figure from the original factory programming, which can differ slightly from the actual cell chemistry delivered. It is not a fault. The real-world capacity is what the fuel gauge IC measures during live cycles, not the EEPROM figure the BIOS reads on connection. Run two calibration cycles and the operating capacity will reflect the actual 48.84Wh cell.

Charging stops at 80% and the status bar just sits there — is the battery defective or is something throttling it?

Some LG XNote BIOS versions ship with a charge-limit setting enabled, capping charge at 80% to reduce cell wear during AC-connected use. Check the BIOS power management menu under "Battery Care" or equivalent and disable the charge limit. If no such setting exists, update the BIOS firmware first, then retest — older firmware on the R410 and R510 has a known bug where the charge ceiling defaults to 80% after a cell swap.
