It replaces OEM part numbers SQU-805, SQU-804, SQU-807, and several cross-referenced codes including 3UR18650-2-T0188 and 916C7830F. Fits directly into the standard battery bay with no modification.

One full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the BIOS to run its learn cycle against the new cell's actual parameters and resets the health flag.

This is a voltage cliff issue. Under combined CPU and display load, the cell's output voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC tracks — the system hits the hardware undervoltage threshold before the percentage reaches zero. The OS gauge is reading a calibrated estimate, not live cell voltage. Run two full discharge-to-hibernate cycles to allow the fuel gauge IC to recalibrate against the new cell's actual discharge curve; the shutdowns typically stop once the gauge tracks below 3.3V per cell accurately.

Why does Windows show this battery as 0% or "unknown" right after I installed it?

The fuel gauge IC in the Freevents 15NB8611 is reading EEPROM data from the old pack and has no calibrated baseline for the new cell yet. It defaults to 0% or "unknown" until it completes at least one full cycle. Charge the laptop uninterrupted to 100%, then discharge it fully to hibernate cutoff — after that cycle the gauge IC locks onto the new cell's chemistry and reports accurately.

My Freevents 15NB8611 shuts down instantly under load even though the gauge shows 25% left — is the battery faulty?

It is not faulty. Under heavy CPU and screen load, cell voltage drops sharply and can hit the hardware undervoltage cutoff before the OS percentage catches up — this is a voltage cliff, not a dead cell. The fuel gauge IC needs calibration cycles against the new cell to track the lower end of the discharge curve accurately. System information is showing the wrong Wh rating for this battery — it lists something different from the 48.84Wh on the listing. Is it pulling the wrong data?
