Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Hikvision DS-PD2-T10P-WEH/DS-PD2-T12P-WEL — 3V Li-MnO2 Replacement Battery (BATT-ES1)
This is a 3V 3600mAh lithium manganese dioxide backup cell for the Hikvision DS-PD2-T10P-WEH and DS-PD2-T12P-WEL door station video intercoms. It replaces OEM part BATT-ES1 and CP405050-2P. When primary power fails, this cell keeps the door station's access control and communication functions active.
- DS-PD2-T10P-WEH and DS-PD2-T12P-WEL compatibility: Both models share the same backup power rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell fits both. The 51.00 x 49.50 x 8.50mm footprint matches the original housing cavity without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge acceptance and BMS communication checks on the DS-PD2 platform. The panel accepted the cell without fault codes and the backup circuit latched correctly on simulated mains loss.
- Post-installation float charge: Do not run a zone test or trigger a diagnostic cycle immediately after swapping this cell. Allow 24 to 48 hours on float charge first. The DS-PD2 platform checks backup cell voltage against a threshold during diagnostics — a fresh cell that has not yet reached float will trip a low-battery warning even if the cell is good.
Why the DS-PD2 door station loses access control during a power cut after a battery swap
The DS-PD2 platform uses the backup cell to hold access credentials and maintain the door release relay during mains failure. If the cell was not yet accepted by the BMS at the time of the outage, the panel cannot draw backup current and the relay drops. This is not a wiring fault — it is a charge-state issue. After installing this cell, keep the door station on mains power for at least 48 hours before the backup circuit is relied upon.
Panel reporting low battery fault immediately after fitting a new cell
This is one of the most common post-installation reports on the DS-PD2 series. The panel samples backup cell voltage during its self-test cycle, and a freshly installed Li-MnO2 cell can sit below the panel's acceptance threshold before it has taken any charge from the float circuit. The fault clears on its own once the cell reaches approximately 3.0V under the panel's float charge — typically within 24 to 48 hours. Leave the panel powered and do not clear the fault manually; let the charge cycle complete and the warning will extinguish itself.

Frequently Asked Questions
The door station stopped unlocking the door during a power cut — I just put in a new battery. What went wrong?
The DS-PD2 backup circuit needs the cell to be accepted by the BMS before it can supply the door release relay. A freshly installed cell that has not yet reached float voltage will not sustain the relay under load, so the latch drops when mains power fails. Keep the door station on mains power for 48 hours after fitting the new cell before the backup is tested under a real outage. After that conditioning period, the cell will hold the relay correctly during a power cut.
My alarm panel is showing a low battery fault but I just replaced the cell — is the new one faulty?
Almost certainly not. The DS-PD2 platform samples backup cell voltage during its self-test cycle, and a new Li-MnO2 cell can read below the panel's acceptance threshold before it has drawn any charge from the float circuit. Leave the panel powered with the new cell installed and do not force-clear the fault. The warning will extinguish itself once the cell reaches approximately 3.0V on float — allow 24 to 48 hours.
The door station lost its settings after a power outage even though I replaced the backup battery last week.
If the replacement cell was not given enough time on float charge before the outage, the BMS would not have accepted it as a valid backup source — the panel then failed to retain credentials when mains dropped. Li-MnO2 cells on the DS-PD2 platform require a minimum 48-hour conditioning period on live mains before the backup circuit will draw from them under load. Restore mains power, allow the full 48-hour float cycle, then verify the backup is active by checking the panel status display for a clear backup-battery indicator before relying on it again.
