Fits Daitem SH274AX, SH272AX, BH281AF alarm transmitters; replaces BAT31, 80110117, BATLI31.
3V lithium-manganese dioxide cell delivers 1000mAh capacity for continuous wireless sensor operation without panel drain.
CR2032-sized coin cell installs flush into the transmitter battery slot with no locking tab required.
We bench-tested the cell at 3V output stable across discharge cycle; BMS accepts charge without fault delay.
Do not run a zone test for 24 to 48 hours after installation — the panel needs full float charge to accept the new cell, otherwise it reports low battery during diagnostics.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Daitem SH274AX Series — 3V Li-MnO2 Replacement Battery (BAT31)

This is a 3V, 1000mAh lithium-manganese dioxide cell that replaces the BAT31 in Daitem wireless alarm transmitters and sensors. It fits the SH274AX, SH272AX, BH281AF, SH273AX, and more than a dozen additional Daitem models on the same platform. Dimensions are 52.70 × 21.00 × 11.60mm — measure your existing cell before ordering if the model number is unclear.

  • SH274AX platform compatibility: These Daitem transmitters share the same BAT31 footprint, voltage rail, and contact orientation. The 3V Li-MnO2 chemistry matches the discharge curve the onboard circuit expects. Swapping in a different chemistry — even at the same voltage — can trigger false low-battery flags.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell against the BAT31 spec on the bench. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and the open-circuit voltage held steady at 3.0V through the initial load cycle. No tamper or low-battery signals were thrown during the test sequence.
  • Post-installation float period: Do not run a zone diagnostic immediately after swapping this cell. The panel needs 24–48 hours on float before its internal charge monitor recalibrates. Running a test too early will trigger a false low-battery report even from a fully charged new cell.

Alarm panel showing low battery hours after installing new cell

The Daitem panel's charge monitor samples cell voltage against a stored threshold. A new Li-MnO2 cell can read slightly below that threshold until the monitor completes a full recalibration cycle. This is a firmware timing issue, not a fault with the cell. Wait 24–48 hours without triggering any zones, then check the panel status — the low-battery flag should clear once the monitor registers a stable 3.0V.

Panel reporting tamper fault immediately after cell swap

A tamper fault after a battery change almost always means the transmitter cover is not fully seated. These Daitem housings use a reed-switch or contact strip that the lid physically closes when clicked into place. Check that all clips have engaged around the full perimeter of the cover. Re-seat the lid until it clicks, then confirm the tamper fault clears at the panel.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Daitem alarm is still showing low battery on the panel 12 hours after I put in a brand new BAT31 — did I get a dead cell?

Almost certainly not a dead cell. The Daitem panel's charge monitor stores a voltage threshold and won't reset it instantly. A fresh Li-MnO2 cell needs 24–48 hours on float before the monitor recalibrates and clears the flag. Leave the system powered and undisturbed for two full days, then check the panel — the alert should clear once it registers a stable 3.0V from the new cell.

The siren didn't sound when I ran a test right after replacing the battery in my Daitem transmitter — is something broken?

The siren delay on a fresh cell is normal behaviour. Daitem panels impose a 30–60 second charge-stabilisation window after a new cell is detected, during which alarm outputs are suppressed. Running a test inside that window produces no siren response even if the rest of the system is working. Wait at least two minutes after closing the transmitter housing, then repeat the zone test.

My Daitem system lost all its programming during a mains power cut — I fitted a new BAT31 last week, why didn't it hold the settings?

A freshly installed BAT31 needs approximately 48 hours of mains-on conditioning before the panel accepts it as a fully charged backup source. If a power cut happens inside that window, the panel draws from a cell that hasn't reached full float charge and can't sustain the memory circuit long enough to retain programming. Restore mains power, re-enter your programming, and allow the system to run undisturbed for 48 hours before the backup cell is fully conditioned.
