Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Hollyland Solidcom M1 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (HL-BAT1500)
This 3.8V, 1500mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the HL-BAT1500 battery in the Hollyland Solidcom M1 wireless intercom headset. The Solidcom M1 is used on film sets, live broadcasts, and stage productions where communication cannot drop. Swap a depleted cell and keep the headset running through back-to-back sessions.
- Solidcom M1 fit: The M1 headset runs a single-cell 3.8V Li-Polymer pack with a dedicated BMS that handshakes with the base station during charging. This replacement matches the voltage rail, physical footprint (46.50 × 33.00 × 9.00mm), and connector orientation the base station expects.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the Solidcom M1 base station and confirmed the BMS completed a full charge handshake without error flags. Current draw under simultaneous audio output and DECT radio transmission stayed within the cell's continuous discharge rating.
- First charge in the base station: Place the headset in the Solidcom M1 base station and run a complete charge cycle before taking a call. The base station logs the new cell during this cycle — until it does, the talk-time indicator will not read accurately.
Base station not recognising the new pack after swap
The Solidcom M1 base station uses a BMS handshake to identify and register a battery before it will display charge status. If the cell arrives at storage voltage (typically around 3.6–3.7V), the base may show no charge activity or a blinking error light on first insertion. Remove the headset, reseat it firmly, and leave it undisturbed for a full charge cycle. Once the BMS completes initialisation, the status LED will switch to solid and charging will proceed normally.
Headset cuts out mid-transmission on a new battery
The M1 pulls combined current for both the audio circuit and the DECT radio simultaneously — this is a higher instantaneous draw than standby suggests. A cell in its first few cycles has not yet reached full electrochemical capacity, so voltage can sag under that combined load and trip the BMS undervoltage cutoff. This is not a fault with the battery. Run three to five full charge-discharge cycles through normal use and the cutout threshold will stop being triggered as usable capacity builds up.

Frequently Asked Questions
The base station shows a charging error light after I put the new battery in — what's happening?
The Solidcom M1 base station runs a BMS handshake at the start of every charge session to register the cell. If the replacement battery arrives at storage voltage, the handshake can time out and throw an error before charging begins. Remove the headset, wait ten seconds, reseat it firmly, and leave it in the base undisturbed. The handshake completes within the first few minutes of contact — once it does, the error clears and the charge LED goes solid.
Talk time is noticeably shorter than the original battery in the first few days — is the cell faulty?
It is not faulty. Li-Polymer cells need three to five full charge-discharge cycles before they reach rated capacity. In early cycles, the cell delivers less usable charge than its 1500mAh rating because the electrode chemistry has not fully activated. Run the headset through complete sessions — charge to full, use until the low-battery alert triggers, then recharge. By cycle four or five, talk time will be consistent with the rated 5.7Wh capacity.
The headset gets noticeably warm during long broadcast sessions — is that normal for this battery?
Sustained warmth is expected. The Solidcom M1 draws current for both the DECT radio and audio circuit continuously during a live session, and that combined load generates heat in a compact housing. The Li-Polymer cell and BMS are rated for this operating condition. If the headset becomes hot enough to be uncomfortable to touch, check that the ventilation slots on the housing are clear — blocked airflow is the usual cause of heat beyond normal operating range.
