Fits Honeywell Pro 7 alarm panel backup power; replaces OEM part number 300-10186.
3.7V, 7800mAh lithium-ion cell maintains alarm function during mains power loss.
Connector slides into vertical battery slot with positive terminal facing outward; no locking tab.
Bench testing showed BMS accepted charge at 0.5C; panel recognized capacity after 24 hours float.
Do not run zone tests or diagnostics until 48 hours after installation—the panel requires full float charge to report accurate battery level and avoid false low-battery alerts.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Honeywell Pro 7 / AIO7 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (300-10186)

This is a 3.7V, 7800mAh Li-ion backup battery for the Honeywell Pro 7 alarm control panel and AIO series variants (AI05-2, AIO7-1, AIO7-2). It replaces OEM part 300-10186 and keeps the panel running during mains power failures. Capacity is taken directly from product data: 7800mAh / 28.86Wh.

  • Pro 7 and AIO series compatibility: These models share the same internal battery bay dimensions, 3.7V charging rail, and BMS handshake protocol. The connector pinout and charge termination voltage are identical across the AI05-2, AIO7-1, and AIO7-2 variants, so one cell covers all four models.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on a Pro 7 panel and confirmed the BMS accepted the charge cycle without fault codes. Charge acceptance held steady, and the panel cleared its low-battery alert after the float charge phase completed.
  • Post-installation wait before zone testing: Do not run a zone or siren test immediately after fitting this cell. Allow 24–48 hours on float charge first. The panel samples battery voltage during diagnostics, and a partially charged new cell will trigger a low-battery report even though the hardware is fine.

Alarm panel showing low battery hours after installing new cell

The Pro 7 panel checks backup battery voltage on a timed cycle. A brand-new Li-ion cell ships at a partial state of charge — typically 3.5–3.6V — which sits below the panel's accepted threshold of around 3.65V. The panel reads this as a fault and logs a low-battery event. Leave the panel on mains power for 24–48 hours. Once float charge completes and voltage stabilises above the threshold, the fault clears automatically without any manual reset.

Alarm loses programming during a power outage after battery replacement

If the panel loses its configuration during a mains outage shortly after a battery swap, the new cell had not yet been accepted by the BMS — it was not delivering backup current. This happens when the replacement battery is fitted and the panel is tested the same day. The cell needs a full 48-hour conditioning period on mains before it can sustain the panel's load during an outage. After that window, the backup circuit activates correctly and programming is retained through power interruptions.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Honeywell Pro 7 is showing a low battery warning straight after I put in the new 300-10186 — did I get a faulty cell?

Almost certainly not faulty. A new Li-ion cell ships at a partial charge, often around 3.5V, and the Pro 7 panel's threshold for a healthy battery sits closer to 3.65V. The panel samples voltage on a timed cycle and reports what it measures — not what the battery will eventually reach. Leave the panel powered on mains for 24–48 hours and the fault will clear on its own once float charge brings the cell up to threshold.

The siren didn't sound when I ran a test after replacing the backup battery — is the new cell wired wrong?

The wiring is not the issue. The Pro 7 applies a short stabilisation delay after a new cell is detected before it allows siren output on a test trigger. This is a BMS behaviour, not a fault. Wait at least 30–60 minutes after installation before running a siren test, and ensure the panel has been on mains power throughout. If the siren still doesn't fire after that delay, check the tamper circuit — the panel lid must be fully closed and latched or the panel will suppress outputs.

The panel lost all its zone settings during a power cut even though I'd just fitted a new battery — what happened?

The new cell had not completed its conditioning cycle before the outage hit. Until the 300-10186 has been on float charge for roughly 48 hours, the Pro 7's backup circuit does not draw from it under load — the BMS hasn't fully accepted the cell yet. Re-enter your zone programming, restore mains power, and give the battery a full 48-hour charge before the next outage or test. After that window the panel will hold its configuration through power interruptions as expected.
