The BH71000 motor draws significantly more current when airflow is restricted — a partially blocked filter forces the motor to work harder, pulling well above its rated draw. The vacuum feels like it's losing charge when the actual cause is airflow restriction amplifying current draw. Clean or replace the filter and retest — suction should stabilise at the same charge level.

Motor cuts out mid-use then restarts after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a faulty battery. When suction is sustained against a blockage or a heavily loaded carpet, current spikes past the BMS threshold and the protection circuit opens. The pack recovers once the overcurrent condition clears — usually within a few seconds of releasing the motor load. Check the brush roll and suction path for blockages first, then verify the filter is clear. If trips continue with no blockage present, check cell voltage at rest — it should read above 15.5V on a full charge.
