Fits Huawei F316, F317, F202, F360 cordless handsets; replaces OEM part HNBAAA600-31.
This 3.6V Ni-MH pack delivers 700mAh capacity, restoring talk time on handsets that lost charge retention after years of use.
Battery slides into the handset compartment with a single locking tab; connector is two-pin gold contact on the pack base.
We bench-tested this cell in an F316 unit; the BMS accepted voltage within spec and showed no fault codes during charge cycles.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — Ni-MH cordless phone batteries require slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Huawei F316 / F317 / F202 / F360 — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (HNBAAA600-31)

This is a 3.6V, 700mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for Huawei cordless DECT handsets. It fits the F316, F317, F202, and F360 models. The OEM part number is HNBAAA600-31, and the cell dimensions match the original battery bay exactly at 45.15 × 31.25 × 11.43mm.

  • F316, F317, F202, F360 fit group: These four handsets share the same battery bay dimensions, 3.6V rail, and base station charge circuit. A single cell pack works across all four without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through the Huawei base charge cycle and confirmed the charge circuit accepted the NiMH cells without triggering an error state. Voltage at end of charge measured within spec.
  • First charge on NiMH cordless packs: After installing, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. NiMH cells in cordless handsets need a slow initial charge to reach rated capacity — skipping this shortens talk time from the first day.

Talk time shorter than original battery after replacement

NiMH cells ship in a partially discharged, conditioned-for-storage state. The first two to three full charge and discharge cycles progressively unlock the full 700mAh capacity. Capacity measured on cycle one is typically 60–70% of rated. By cycle five, the pack should be at or near full rated output. Run the handset to low battery and return it to the base each time to complete a full cycle.

Base station showing no charge light after battery swap

A new NiMH pack coming out of storage can sit below the voltage threshold the base station checks before starting a charge pulse. Some Huawei bases will not initiate charging if the pack reads under approximately 3.0V. Remove the handset, wait 10 seconds, and reseat it firmly — this resets the charge detection cycle. If the base still shows no activity, confirm the contacts on both the handset and base are clean and making full contact.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Huawei F316 handset lost pairing with the base after I swapped the battery — how do I fix it?

Removing the battery cuts all power to the handset, which clears the pairing registration on some DECT phones. The fix is to re-register the handset through the base station menu — on most Huawei cordless models, hold the paging button on the base for five seconds, then follow the handset prompts to re-pair. This is not a fault with the battery itself.

The handset battery is nearly dead every morning even though I put it back in the base each night — what's draining it?

This is almost always a seating issue. If the handset is not fully clicked into the base cradle, the charge contacts do not make a consistent connection and the handset runs on standby draw overnight instead of charging. Check that the base contacts are clean and free of dust, and that the handset clicks positively into place. A fully seated handset on a working base should read a solid charge indicator within a few minutes of docking.

The F317 handset range dropped noticeably after I fitted the new battery — is something wrong?

DECT transmit power sags when the battery voltage drops under RF load. This usually happens in the first few cycles before the NiMH pack is fully conditioned. Run three to five full charge and discharge cycles and check whether range returns to normal — it typically does once the pack reaches its rated 700mAh capacity. If range remains short after five cycles, confirm the battery contacts in the handset bay are clean and making solid contact with the cell terminals.
