Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Huawei GT2 Pro / Watch 3 — 3.87V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (HB532729EFW)

This 3.87V, 450mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the HB532729EFW battery in the Huawei Watch GT2 Pro, Watch 3, and GLL-AL04. It restores full smartwatch function — fitness tracking, heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, and notifications. Dimensions are 26.50 × 25.50 × 5.00mm, matching the original cell footprint.

  • GT2 Pro, Watch 3, and GLL-AL04 compatibility: All three models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol, which is why one cell covers the full group.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge passes on a GT2 Pro unit. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and the fuel gauge IC re-registered state-of-charge correctly after a full charge cycle post-swap.
  • Post-swap charge requirement: After fitting this cell, place the watch on its magnetic charger immediately and run it to 100% before use. The fuel gauge IC on the GT2 Pro loses its charge reference when the original cell is removed. Without a full charge from near-zero, the gauge will misread capacity and report inaccurate percentages throughout the day.

Why always-on display and continuous HR monitoring drain the GT2 Pro battery faster than expected

The GT2 Pro's always-on AMOLED display draws current continuously, unlike a standard notification screen that wakes on wrist raise only. Layered on top, continuous heart rate monitoring polls the optical sensor roughly every second, adding a persistent background load. Together, these two features can account for the majority of daily draw on a 450mAh cell. Switching always-on display off and setting HR monitoring to 10-minute intervals significantly reduces that load.

Charge contacts not connecting on the magnetic charger after reassembly

If the watch does not register on the charger after battery replacement, the back cover has likely shifted fractionally during reassembly, misaligning the internal charge contacts with the magnetic pogo pins. Remove the watch from the charger, press firmly and evenly around the back cover edge to re-seat it, then place it back on the charger. A successful connection shows a charging icon within five seconds. If it still fails, check that the back cover is fully flush with no raised edges before attempting again.

Frequently Asked Questions

My GT2 Pro shows 0% and won't turn on right after I swapped the battery — did I get a dead cell?

The cell is almost certainly fine. When the original battery is disconnected, the fuel gauge IC on the GT2 Pro loses its charge reference entirely and defaults to 0%. Place the watch on its magnetic charger immediately after the swap and leave it until it reaches 100% — the gauge recalibrates during that first full charge cycle. After a complete charge, the watch will power on and report an accurate percentage.

The new battery drains completely in one day instead of the multi-day life I had before — what's wrong?

Check whether always-on display is active and whether heart rate monitoring is set to continuous. On a 450mAh cell, those two features running simultaneously can exhaust the battery within a single day under normal use. Go to Watch Settings → Display and set AOD to off or scheduled, then go to Health Monitoring and set heart rate to Smart or 10-minute intervals. If drain persists after those changes, also check that background app refresh is not active through the Huawei Health app on the paired phone.

My GT2 Pro stopped pairing to my phone after the battery replacement — is the watch broken?

No — removing power during the swap terminates the active BLE session, and the watch and phone no longer recognise each other automatically. On the watch, go to Settings → System → Reset → Reset Network Settings (this does not wipe health data). Then open the Huawei Health app on your phone, go to the device page, tap Unpair, and re-add the watch from scratch. The pairing completes within about 30 seconds once both sides are reset.
