Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Huawei Nova 2 Plus — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (HB356687ECW)
This is a 3.85V, 3300mAh Li-Polymer cell replacing OEM part HB356687ECW in the Huawei Nova 2 Plus and Nova 2 Plus Dual SIM. It fits BAC-AL00, BAC-TL00, and 26 additional regional variants sharing the same chassis and connector layout. Physical dimensions are 86.00 × 64.70 × 3.40mm — verify against your original cell before installing.
- Nova 2 Plus variant coverage: Huawei released the Nova 2 Plus across multiple regions under different model codes — BAC-AL00, BAC-TL00, and others — all using the same battery bay, voltage rail, and flex connector. This cell fits every variant in that group without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a BAC-AL00 unit. The BMS accepted charge handshake on the first cycle, voltage held steady across screen-on and modem-active loads, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and complete one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Nova 2 Plus after a cell swap
This is a voltage cliff problem, not a capacity problem. When the modem transmits or the screen peaks in brightness, current draw spikes sharply. A new cell with an uncalibrated fuel gauge IC may report 25% remaining while actual cell voltage has already dropped below the shutdown threshold under that load. The phone cuts out to protect the cell, even though the percentage display looked safe. One full slow-charge cycle recalibrates the coulomb counter and eliminates most of these early shutdowns.
Nova 2 Plus not powering on after sitting in storage with a flat battery
If the cell discharged below approximately 2.5V during storage, the BMS enters a lockout state and blocks normal charging to prevent damage to over-discharged cells. The phone will show nothing on screen — no charging animation, no response to the power button. Connect to a wall adapter rated at 5V/1A and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything. The BMS trickle-charges the cell back above the recovery threshold, after which normal charging resumes and the phone will boot.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Nova 2 Plus percentage is jumping around after I put in the new battery — is the cell faulty?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC in the phone was calibrated to the discharge curve of your old, degraded cell — it has no reference data for the new one yet. Percentage readings will be erratic until the coulomb counter relearns the curve. Run one complete discharge from 100% to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard speed with fast charging disabled. After that single cycle, readings stabilise.
Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after replacing the battery — what happened?
Huawei's fast charge protocol requires a BMS handshake before the charge IC steps up current. On the first cycle after a cell swap, some units fail that handshake and fall back to standard 5V/1A charging. Unplug the cable, power the phone fully off, then reconnect to a Huawei-certified fast charge adapter. Most units complete the handshake on the second connection attempt. If it still reverts to standard charging, complete one full slow-charge cycle first — the handshake succeeds reliably once the fuel gauge IC has baseline data.
The phone feels warm near the battery while charging — is something wrong with the new cell?
Mild warmth during the first few charge cycles is expected with a fresh high-impedance cell. A new Li-Polymer cell has slightly higher internal resistance than a broken-in one, and the charge IC dissipates more energy as heat until the cell's impedance settles after a few cycles. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or charging stops before 100%, disconnect immediately and check that the battery connector is fully seated. Normal charging warmth should not exceed what you can hold comfortably against your hand.
