Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Huawei U8860 / Honor — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (HB5F1H)
This 3.7V, 1800mAh Li-ion cell replaces the OEM HB5F1H battery in the Huawei U8860 and Honor smartphones, including the M886 and Turkcell T30 variants. It fits the same battery bay, uses the same three-contact connector, and is sourced to the original cell specification at 6.66Wh.
- U8860, Honor, M886, Turkcell T30 compatibility: These four models share the same chassis platform, battery bay dimensions, and BMS handshake protocol. The HB5F1H connector pinout and protection circuit layout are identical across all four, so one cell fits all without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell in a U8860 unit, monitoring BMS charge acceptance through a full discharge-to-full cycle. The protection circuit engaged correctly at both low-voltage cutoff and charge termination, and the charge IC accepted the cell without fault codes.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-full charge cycle before normal use. This lets the phone's fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before drawing high current into an uncalibrated cell.
Why the U8860 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The U8860 uses a fuel gauge IC that builds a discharge model over repeated cycles. When the original cell is replaced, that stored model no longer matches the new cell's voltage curve. The phone reads voltage and estimates percentage from an outdated map, so it can show 40% when the cell is close to cutoff voltage. One full discharge-to-charge cycle forces the IC to relearn the curve against the new cell. After that cycle, percentage readings stabilise.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This shutdown happens because the modem radio or screen backlight pulls a current spike that drops the cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold, even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. A freshly installed cell with an uncalibrated fuel gauge makes this worse — the IC doesn't know the real state of charge. If this happens repeatedly in the first few days, run two full discharge-to-charge cycles without fast charging. If it continues after calibration, check that the battery contacts on the phone are clean and making full contact — a partial connection raises internal resistance and accelerates voltage sag under load.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Huawei U8860 won't turn on at all after the new battery sat unused for a few months — is the cell dead?
Likely not dead, but the BMS has locked out due to self-discharge dropping below 2.5V per cell. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 15–20 minutes without attempting to power on. The charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell to bring it above the BMS re-enable threshold before the phone will respond. If the charge LED or screen doesn't show any sign of life after 30 minutes on the wall charger, try a second charger to rule out the adapter before assuming the cell is faulty.
The battery percentage on my U8860 jumps around erratically — it drops from 60% to 15% in seconds and then climbs back up.
This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against a new cell it hasn't mapped yet. The IC's stored discharge curve was built on the old cell's impedance profile, and the new cell behaves differently under load. Run two complete discharge-to-full charge cycles — drain the phone until it shuts off from low battery, then charge uninterrupted to 100% both times. After the second cycle the coulomb counter will have enough data to report accurately, and the percentage jumps will stop.
Fast charging stopped working after I put the new HB5F1H battery in — the phone only charges slowly now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC defaults to a conservative constant-current profile while it assesses the new cell's impedance. Huawei's proprietary charge protocol won't negotiate higher current until the BMS confirms the cell is within its expected voltage and temperature window. Complete one full standard charge cycle from flat to 100% without interrupting it. After that cycle, the charge IC re-evaluates the cell and fast charging resumes — reconnect the fast charger and verify the phone gets warm near the battery within the first few minutes of charging, which confirms the higher current profile is active.
