Fits Hyundai BP-121 smartphones; replaces OEM part number BP-121 across compatible Hyundai mobile devices.
3.7V, 900mAh Li-ion cell delivers the same energy capacity as the original pack for standard call and messaging use.
Connector fits the internal battery slot with standard orientation; no mechanical locking tab — slides into the battery cavity flush.
We bench-tested this cell at 500mA discharge; BMS accepted the new pack on first insertion without fault codes or cutoff.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Hyundai BP-121 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

The BP-121 is a 3.7V, 900mAh Li-ion cell for Hyundai mobile phones and smartphones. It replaces an original battery that has degraded through repeated charge cycles or lost the ability to hold a usable charge. Dimensions are 53.00 × 34.00 × 4.80mm — confirm physical fit against the original before installing.

  • OEM part match: This cell shares the BP-121 part number used across Hyundai's compact smartphone lineup. The voltage rail, connector pinout, and BMS communication lines match the original spec so the phone's charge IC recognises the cell correctly.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled the BP-121 through charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS engaged cutoff cleanly at low-voltage threshold and accepted charge current without fault flags from the charge controller.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC build an accurate discharge curve for the new cell before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated coulomb counter.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BP-121 replacement cell

This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. The new cell hits a voltage cliff under modem or display load before the reported percentage reaches zero. The phone interprets the voltage drop as a critical low-battery event and shuts down. Run one full discharge to 0% and a full charge to 100% to let the coulomb counter reset its reference points against the new cell.

Phone warm near the battery during the first few charging cycles

A new Li-ion cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell. During early cycles, the charge IC pushes current into a higher-resistance load, which generates more heat than you'd see from a well-cycled battery. This is normal and settles after three to five full cycles as the cell's impedance drops. If the phone remains warm after five cycles, check that the charge port isn't partially blocked and that the phone's thermal management app shows charge current dropping to trickle before 100%.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Hyundai phone shuts off at around 25% battery — why does this keep happening with the new BP-121?

The fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve, not the replacement BP-121. When the new cell hits a voltage drop under screen or modem load, the phone's protection circuit reads it as a critical event and cuts power before the display percentage reaches zero. Run one full discharge from 100% down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the coulomb counter reference against the new cell's actual curve.

The percentage on my phone jumps around erratically after fitting the BP-121 — is the battery faulty?

Not necessarily. The fuel gauge IC uses a stored discharge curve from the old cell to estimate remaining capacity. With a new cell installed, the curve no longer matches real voltage behaviour, so percentage readings can jump 5–15% in either direction. Let the battery drain fully to shutdown once, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single calibration cycle the readings should stabilise.

My phone won't turn on at all after the BP-121 sat in storage for a few months — what's happening?

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage. If the BP-121 dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS locked out the battery to prevent damage. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for at least 30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC delivers a low-current pre-charge to bring the cell voltage back above the BMS re-enable threshold, after which the phone should boot normally.
