Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Infinix Hot 4 Pro / X556 / X5511 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BL-39AX)
This is a 3900mAh Li-Polymer cell rated at 3.85V, replacing the original BL-39AX battery in the Infinix Hot 4 Pro, X556, and X5511. It fits the original battery compartment at 89.50 × 63.35 × 4.70mm. Swap it in when the original cell can no longer hold a usable charge across a full day.
- Hot 4 Pro / X556 / X5511 fitment: All three model numbers share the same PCB layout, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers all three — no adapter or wiring change required.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the X556 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and the charge IC reached termination voltage at the correct 4.35V cutoff.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% uninterrupted. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the coulomb counter locks in its reference points.
Why the Hot 4 Pro reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The fuel gauge IC on this platform stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, the IC is still referencing old impedance and capacity data. Until it runs at least one full cycle, the percentage readout can be off by 10–20%. A single uninterrupted discharge-to-shutdown followed by a full charge resets the coulomb counter and brings percentage reporting back into alignment with the new cell's actual characteristics.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% charge remaining on the replacement cell
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity fault. Under modem transmission load or peak screen brightness, the cell voltage drops sharply below the BMS cutoff threshold — even when the reported percentage still looks healthy. The fuel gauge IC hasn't finished calibrating, so it doesn't predict the voltage drop correctly. Run two full discharge-charge cycles and the IC will tighten its model; if shutdowns persist past that point, check that the battery connector is fully seated and making clean contact on all four pads.

Frequently Asked Questions
Fast charging stopped working after I put the new BL-39AX cell in — did I get a faulty battery?
The BMS on a fresh cell sometimes rejects the proprietary handshake on the first charge cycle, so the phone falls back to standard 5V charging as a protective measure. Charge the phone to 100% once on standard charging, then disconnect and reconnect the charger — the BMS re-initialises and the fast charge protocol is typically accepted from the second cycle onward. If it still won't fast charge after two full cycles, check the charge port for debris before assuming a cell fault.
My Hot 4 Pro gets noticeably warm near the back cover while charging the new battery — is that normal?
A new Li-Polymer cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in one, so the charge IC dissipates more heat during the first few cycles as it pushes current into the cell. Warmth near the battery area during the first two or three charges is expected and decreases as the cell breaks in. If the phone is hot to the touch — not just warm — or if charging stops and restarts repeatedly, remove the case to improve airflow and charge on a flat surface. Sustained overheating that doesn't reduce after three cycles points to a charge IC issue on the board, not the cell.
The phone won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it — is the cell dead?
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below 2.5V the BMS trips into lockout to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it for 30–45 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC will trickle current into the cell to recover it above the BMS re-enable threshold of approximately 3.0V. Once the charging indicator appears on screen, continue to a full charge before first use.
