Fits Infinix Smart X5010 and replaces OEM battery BL-AW878.
3.7V and 2650mAh capacity delivers stable voltage throughout call, messaging, and app sessions on this smartphone.
Connector slides straight down into the battery slot; no locking tab or keyed orientation—seating is straightforward.
We bench tested the BMS on a standard Infinix charger and confirmed voltage regulation held steady through discharge cycles.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against this cell's discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Infinix Smart X5010 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BL-AW878)

The BL-AW878 is a 3.7V, 2650mAh lithium-polymer cell that fits the Infinix Smart (X5010). It restores power to a phone that no longer holds charge, drains overnight, or shuts off unexpectedly. Capacity and voltage match the original Infinix specification exactly.

  • Infinix Smart X5010 fitment: The X5010 uses a fixed rear-cover design with a direct contact connector and a BMS that handshakes with the charge IC over a single thermistor line. This cell matches that connector pinout, voltage rail, and thermistor resistance profile.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the X5010 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and the charge IC completed a full constant-current to constant-voltage transition at 4.2V with no cutoff interruptions.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and let the phone complete one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins — skipping this step causes percentage jumps and premature low-battery alerts.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's voltage curve. The new cell hits a voltage cliff under modem or display load before the gauge registers empty — the phone reads 25% but the cell voltage has already collapsed below the BMS cutoff threshold. One complete discharge cycle — draining to automatic shutdown, then charging fully — forces the coulomb counter to reset against the new cell's actual curve. After that cycle, the shutdowns stop.

Phone not powering on after the battery sat in storage

Lithium-polymer cells in storage self-discharge over weeks. If the cell drops below 2.5V, the BMS enters a lockout state and will not accept a normal charge request. Plug the phone into a wall adapter — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC will deliver a trickle current to bring the cell above the BMS wake threshold, typically 2.8V, at which point the phone will boot normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

The battery percentage jumps around erratically after I installed the new cell — what is happening?

The fuel gauge IC on the X5010 is calibrated to the discharge curve of the original cell. A new BL-AW878 has a slightly different internal resistance profile, so the coulomb counter produces inaccurate readings until it relearns. Run one full cycle — drain the phone until it shuts off automatically, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard speed with fast charging disabled. After that single cycle, the gauge stabilises.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after fitting the replacement battery — is the port damaged?

The port is almost certainly fine. On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the X5010 may not handshake with the USB charging protocol until the BMS has completed one standard-rate charge. Plug in using the original cable and adapter without a fast-charge source, let it charge fully at standard rate, then disconnect and reconnect — the fast-charge negotiation resumes normally on subsequent cycles.

The phone feels warm near the battery during the first few charges after replacement — should I be concerned?

A new high-impedance lithium-polymer cell generates more heat during the initial charge cycles than a broken-in cell does. The charge IC pushes constant current into a cell with higher internal resistance, which dissipates as heat until the cell conditions through the first few cycles. If the phone stays below uncomfortable-to-touch warm and cools once fully charged, this is expected. If it becomes hot to the touch or charge stops before 100%, disconnect immediately and check that the connector is fully seated flat against the contact pads.
