Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

intex Cloud Tread — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BR22024BR)
This is a 3.8V, 1500mAh Li-ion battery for the intex Cloud Tread smartphone. It replaces part number BR22024BR and fits directly into the Cloud Tread's battery bay. Voltage and capacity match the original specification: 3.8V nominal, 5.7Wh total.
- Cloud Tread platform fit: The Cloud Tread uses a fixed-form battery bay sized at 71.92 × 57.94 × 4.24mm. This cell matches those dimensions and the connector orientation used on the original BR22024BR. The BMS handshake on this phone expects a 3.8V nominal cell — a mismatch here causes the OS to reject the battery or report incorrect state-of-charge immediately after installation.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell under a simulated Cloud Tread load profile — screen on, modem active, GPS polling. The BMS held voltage within the expected 3.4–4.2V window across the discharge curve. No spurious cutoffs were logged during the test.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% uninterrupted. The Cloud Tread's fuel gauge IC reads the discharge curve to map the new cell — skip this step and the percentage readout will drift within the first few days of use.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Cloud Tread after a cell swap
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity problem. The Cloud Tread's modem and display pull current spikes that cause a degraded or uncalibrated cell to sag below the BMS cutoff voltage before the fuel gauge reaches 0%. The phone cuts power to protect the cell. A new cell that hasn't completed one full calibration cycle will show the same behaviour because the coulomb counter is still using the old cell's discharge curve. Run one full discharge-to-shutdown cycle and the shutdowns stop.
Phone won't power on after the replacement battery sat in storage
If the BR22024BR cell self-discharged below approximately 2.5V during storage, the BMS enters lockout mode and the phone will not respond to a normal power button press. Plug in a charger and leave it connected for 15–20 minutes before attempting to power on — the charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell until it clears the BMS lockout threshold. If the screen remains black after that window, check that the charger is delivering at least 5V at the USB port before assuming a fault with the cell.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Cloud Tread shows the wrong battery percentage after I put in the new BR22024BR — is the battery faulty?
The battery is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC in the Cloud Tread is still calibrated to the discharge curve of the old cell, so the percentage readout is based on stale data. Run one complete discharge cycle — let the phone drain down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle the coulomb counter remaps to the new cell and the percentage stabilises.
Fast charging stopped working on my Cloud Tread after fitting the replacement battery — what's wrong?
On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC can reject the fast-charge protocol because it hasn't confirmed the new cell's impedance characteristics yet. Charge the phone once at standard speed using a basic 5V charger, let it reach 100%, then try your fast charger on the second cycle. Fast charging typically resumes normally once the charge IC has completed one full standard cycle against the new cell.
My Cloud Tread gets warm near the battery while charging the new cell — should I be concerned?
Mild warmth is expected on the first few charges. A new high-impedance cell draws more resistive current from the charge IC than a broken-in cell does, and that generates modest heat. If the phone stays comfortably touchable and the warmth fades after the first two or three cycles, nothing is wrong. If the back becomes hot enough to be uncomfortable or charging stops before 100%, disconnect the charger and check that your cable is delivering a steady 5V — a voltage drop in a cheap cable forces the charge IC to work harder.
