Fits Jabra BT250V, BT500V, BT2010, BT2020 wireless headsets. Replaces OEM part numbers 70868-01, 73366-01, AHB371030PA, PA-PL002.
3.7V, 140mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers 0.52Wh to sustain talk time and standby duration on compact DECT earpieces.
Connector seats flush into the BT250V battery slot with a single-point contact design and a plastic locking tab to secure retention.
We bench-tested this cell in a BT250V base station; BMS registered within two charge cycles, voltage held steady under combined audio and radio draw.
On first use, charge the headset in the base station for a full cycle before taking a call — DECT headsets need the base to complete the new cell handshake before talk-time estimates are accurate.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Jabra BT250V / BT500V Series — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (70868-01)

This is a 3.7V, 140mAh lithium-polymer replacement cell for the Jabra BT250V, BT500V, BT2010, and BT2020 Bluetooth headsets. It matches the OEM part numbers 70868-01, 73366-01, AHB371030PA, and PA-PL002. Swap it when the original cell no longer holds a charge through a full call.

  • BT250V / BT500V / BT2010 / BT2020 fit: These models share the same 3.7V cell format, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers the whole group — voltage rail and physical dimensions are identical across the lineup.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a BT250V unit. The BMS accepted the pack without error, balanced correctly at full charge, and cut off cleanly at the low-voltage threshold.
  • First-charge protocol for DECT and Bluetooth headsets: Place the headset in its base station and run a complete charge cycle before taking any call. The base needs to log the new cell before its talk-time estimate can track accurately — skipping this step causes the indicator to read incorrectly for several cycles.

Why the BT250V cuts out mid-call on a new battery

The BT250V draws simultaneously from the audio codec and the Bluetooth radio during active calls. In a housing this compact, that combined load creates momentary voltage sag — especially if the new cell hasn't completed its first full charge cycle. The BMS interprets the sag as a low-voltage event and interrupts power. A complete first charge cycle before use brings the cell to its rated capacity and reduces sag under combined draw.

Base station shows full charge but headset drops off after a few seconds

This happens when a replacement cell arrives at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V — rather than fully charged. The base station's charge indicator may show complete before the cell has actually reached 4.2V. The headset then pulls load from a partly charged pack and the BMS cuts out quickly. Put the headset back in the base for a second uninterrupted charge cycle and confirm the cell reaches 4.2V before use.

Frequently Asked Questions

My BT250V is warm during long calls and then goes silent — is that the battery failing or something else?

The combined draw from the audio codec and Bluetooth radio generates heat in the BT250V's small housing. If the cell is aged or hasn't completed its first full charge cycle, that sustained draw pushes it toward the BMS thermal or low-voltage cutoff threshold. A new cell at full charge handles the load without triggering cutoff. Fit the replacement, run a complete charge cycle in the base station, then test on a call longer than ten minutes.

The base station isn't recognising the new pack — it just flashes an error light and won't start charging.

The base expects a BMS handshake from the cell before it begins the charge cycle. A replacement pack at storage voltage sometimes doesn't send a strong enough signal on the first dock. Remove the headset, wait 10 seconds, and re-dock it firmly. If the error persists, check that the cell connector is fully seated — a partial connection breaks the handshake and the base will refuse to charge.

Talk time is noticeably shorter for the first few days after fitting the new battery — is the cell defective?

Li-polymer cells don't reach rated capacity on the first cycle. The BT250V's 140mAh cell typically needs three to five full charge-discharge cycles before it delivers its full capacity. Each cycle the cell's internal resistance drops slightly and usable capacity increases. Run three complete cycles — full charge in the base, use until the low-battery alert fires, then recharge fully — and talk time will stabilise.
