Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

K-Touch Touch 3 / Touch 3C / Touch 5 — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (TBT5957)
This is a 3.8V Li-ion cell rated at 2200mAh (8.36Wh), built to the TBT5957 specification. It fits the K-Touch Touch 3, Touch 3C, and Touch 5 smartphones. If your original battery no longer holds a charge or the phone shuts down unexpectedly, this cell replaces it directly.
- Touch 3, Touch 3C, and Touch 5 compatibility: All three models share the same battery bay dimensions (72.00 × 57.06 × 4.36mm), connector pinout, and 3.8V nominal voltage rail — which is why a single cell covers the full lineup without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a controlled rig and confirmed the BMS communicates correctly with the charge IC — no false full-charge flags, no premature cutoff at the low end.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. The fuel gauge IC is calibrated against the old cell's discharge curve; giving it one full cycle with the new cell prevents erratic percentage readings from the start.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the K-Touch Touch 3
This is a voltage cliff failure, not a capacity problem. As lithium-ion cells age, their internal resistance rises. Under load — a 4G modem handshake or a screen-on burst — terminal voltage drops sharply below the BMS cutoff threshold even when the fuel gauge still reads 20–30%. The phone cuts power to protect the cell before the percentage counter reaches zero. A fresh TBT5957 cell with lower internal resistance sustains voltage under the same load, so the cutoff only triggers at a true low state of charge.
Phone reporting wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The Android fuel gauge IC uses a coulomb counter model trained on the previous cell's capacity and discharge curve. After installing a new cell, that model is still mapped to the old battery — so percentage readings can jump, stall, or hit 0% early. The fix is straightforward: charge the phone to 100%, let it discharge fully until it shuts off on its own, then charge back to 100% without interruption. After that single full cycle, the coulomb counter resets its baseline to the new cell and percentage accuracy normalises.

Frequently Asked Questions
The K-Touch Touch 3 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?
Most likely the cell discharged below 2.5V in storage, triggering a BMS lockout that blocks normal startup. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for at least 30 minutes before pressing the power button. The charge IC needs to push a trickle charge into the cell to bring it above the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 2.8–3.0V, before the phone will boot.
Fast charging stopped working on the first charge after I installed the TBT5957 — the phone just slow-charges now.
On the first cycle, the USB-PD or proprietary fast-charge protocol may not handshake correctly with the new cell's BMS until it has completed one standard charge. Let the phone charge fully on a slow or standard charger, then discharge it through normal use before plugging into the fast charger again. Most users see fast charge resume on the second or third cycle once the BMS has confirmed cell impedance is within the expected range.
The phone feels warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — is that a fault?
Mild warmth during the first few charge cycles is expected. A new cell has slightly higher impedance than a broken-in one, so the charge IC dissipates a little more heat as it works against that resistance. If the phone is warm to the touch but not hot, and the heat fades after the first two or three full charges, the cell is behaving normally. If it becomes too hot to hold or charging stops and restarts repeatedly, check that the connector is fully seated and the charge IC is not triggering thermal rollback — reseat the battery and try again.
