Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Highscreen Power Five / Power Five Pro — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery
This is a 3.8V, 5000mAh lithium-polymer battery for the Highscreen Power Five and Power Five Pro smartphones. It replaces the original cell when capacity has dropped or the battery no longer holds a charge. Dimensions are 87.38 × 62.94 × 5.66mm — confirm fitment against your existing cell before installation.
- Power Five and Power Five Pro compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell fits both variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the Power Five platform. The BMS accepted charge normally, protection circuits tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff, and the fuel gauge IC tracked state-of-charge without error after a calibration cycle.
- First-cycle fuel gauge calibration: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. The fuel gauge IC calibrates its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve — skipping this step can cause the OS to report inaccurate percentages for the first several days of use.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Highscreen Power Five after a cell swap
After replacing the battery, the Power Five may shut down abruptly while the OS still shows 20–30% remaining. This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still using the old cell's discharge curve — it does not yet know where the new cell's voltage cliff sits. Under modem or display load, the cell voltage drops sharply at that threshold, and the protection circuit triggers a hard cutoff before the OS can react. One full discharge-to-charge cycle without fast charging lets the coulomb counter remap to the new cell and pushes the reported cutoff to the correct level.
USB fast charge not activating after battery replacement
Some Power Five units will not negotiate fast charging on the first cycle with a new cell — the charge IC defaults to standard 5V/1A until it has completed one baseline charge session with the new BMS. This is a handshake behaviour, not a fault with the battery or the charger. Charge the phone fully once using the standard charger, then reboot. Fast charging will re-engage on the next session once the charge IC has logged an initial full-cycle profile for the new cell.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Highscreen Power Five shuts off around 25% after fitting a new battery — is the cell faulty?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve it mapped to the old, degraded cell — it does not know where the new cell's voltage cliff is yet. Under screen or modem load, cell voltage drops sharply at that point and the BMS triggers a hard cutoff before the OS can catch it. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without fast charging — the coulomb counter will remap and the premature cutoffs will stop.
The phone feels warm near the battery while charging the new cell — is that normal?
Yes, and it is expected on the first few charge cycles. A new lithium-polymer cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a cell that has been broken in — the charge IC pushes current into higher resistance, which generates more heat than usual. The warmth should reduce noticeably after three to five full cycles as the cell's impedance settles. If the phone becomes hot rather than warm, or if charging stops before 100%, check that the charging port and cable are clean and undamaged.
My Power Five will not power on at all after the replacement battery sat unused for several months — how do I recover it?
A lithium-polymer cell in storage self-discharges slowly, and if it drops below approximately 2.5V the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent damage — the phone will show no response to the power button or charger. Connect the phone to a wall charger (not a PC port) and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage rises above the BMS recovery threshold, at which point normal charging resumes. If the phone still shows no charging indicator after 30 minutes, try a different cable and adapter to rule out a power-delivery issue.
