Fits Kyocera E6710, Torque, E6715, Torque XT; replaces OEM part SCP-51LBPS.
3.7V, 2050mAh lithium-ion cell delivers full runtime on calling, messaging, and standby.
Connector slides straight down into the battery slot with no locking tab.
We bench-tested this cell in an E6710; the BMS accepted charge at standard rate without fault codes.
On first full cycle after installation, complete one discharge-to-shutdown before using the phone normally — the fuel gauge IC needs to recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Kyocera Torque / E6710 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SCP-51LBPS)

This is a 3.7V, 2050mAh (7.59Wh) Li-ion cell built to fit the Kyocera E6710, Torque, E6715, and Torque XT. It replaces part number SCP-51LBPS directly. If your original cell is swelling, failing to hold charge, or causing unexpected shutdowns, this swap restores the phone to full function.

  • E6710 and Torque XT platform fit: The E6710, Torque, and Torque XT share the same battery bay dimensions and connector pinout. All four models use the SCP-51LBPS footprint, so the same cell covers the full lineup without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Torque platform. The BMS handshake completed cleanly, charge IC accepted the new cell without flagging errors, and voltage held steady across the discharge curve.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before it starts reporting accurate percentages to the OS.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Kyocera Torque after a cell swap

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity fault. Under modem radio load or screen brightness peaks, the new cell's internal resistance causes a brief voltage dip that the phone's protection circuit reads as a critical low-battery event. The phone shuts off even though the coulomb counter still shows charge remaining. One full slow discharge-charge cycle lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate its voltage-to-percentage map against the new cell. After that cycle, the shutdown threshold aligns correctly and the cliff disappears.

Phone stays warm near the battery during the first few charges

A fresh cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in one. During the first two or three charge cycles, the charge IC pushes current into a cell that resists it more than the old degraded cell did, generating more heat at the battery contact area. This is normal and not a fault. Warmth should reduce noticeably by the third full charge cycle. If the phone stays hot or the back feels hot to the touch beyond cycle three, check that the battery connector is seated flat and not partially lifted at one edge.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my Kyocera Torque show the wrong battery percentage after putting in a new SCP-51LBPS cell?

The fuel gauge IC inside the phone was calibrated to the discharge curve of your old, degraded cell. When a new cell goes in, the IC's stored curve no longer matches the actual voltage behaviour of the fresh cell, so the percentage display drifts or jumps. Run one full discharge — use the phone until it shuts off on its own — then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter resets against the new cell's curve and the percentage reading stabilises.

My Kyocera E6715 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — what happened?

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage. If the cell dropped below roughly 2.5V per cell, the BMS entered lockout mode to prevent damage, and the phone will show nothing when you press power. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a computer USB port — and leave it for 30–45 minutes without touching it. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell to bring it above the BMS recovery threshold, after which the phone will power on and begin a normal charge cycle.

Fast charging stopped working on my Torque XT after swapping the battery — it only slow-charges now?

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the phone's charge IC sometimes defaults to standard 1A charging while it verifies the new cell's BMS response. This is a protective fallback, not a defect. Complete one full charge at the slow rate, then disconnect and reconnect the charger. The charge IC should re-negotiate the higher current rate on the second session. If fast charging still does not resume after two full cycles, confirm the USB cable is rated for fast charge — the Torque XT's protocol requires a cable that supports the correct current handshake, not just any USB cable.
