Fits Kyocera E6710, E6715, Torque, and Torque XT smartphones as direct SCP-51LBPS replacement.
Provides 3.7V at 1650mAh capacity — delivers the original charge curve your fuel gauge IC expects.
Connector and contact orientation match factory spec; locking tab seats flush against the battery door.
We cycled this cell on an E6710 bench unit; BMS accepted charge protocol on first insertion without fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against this cell's discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Kyocera E6710 / Torque Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SCP-51LBPS)

This is a 3.7V, 1650mAh Li-ion cell that replaces the OEM SCP-51LBPS battery in the Kyocera E6710 and E6715 (Torque and Torque XT). It fits the same footprint at 58.45 × 54.88 × 6.20mm and connects directly to the existing charge IC. Capacity is sourced from the product specification — 6.11Wh total energy.

  • E6710, Torque, E6715, Torque XT compatibility: These four models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — all four accept the SCP-51LBPS cell without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the E6710 platform. The BMS accepted the charge handshake without flagging an unknown cell error, and the fuel gauge IC tracked voltage draw correctly across the full curve.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installing this cell, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. The fuel gauge IC on the Torque series calibrates its coulomb counter against the first discharge curve — running a fast-charge current into an uncalibrated cell skews the percentage readings for weeks.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Kyocera Torque after a cell swap

The Torque's modem and screen draw a combined spike that can pull cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold before the fuel gauge registers empty. A new cell with an uncalibrated discharge curve makes this worse — the gauge overestimates remaining charge because it's reading against the old cell's slope. The BMS cuts power at 3.0V per cell even when the OS still shows 25%. One full slow-charge cycle recalibrates the coulomb counter and moves the shutdown point to the correct floor.

Phone shows incorrect battery percentage after replacing the SCP-51LBPS

The fuel gauge IC stores a discharge curve from the original cell — it doesn't reset automatically when a new cell is installed. Your E6710 reads percentage by comparing current charge state against that stored curve, so mismatches show up as jumpy or stuck readings. Drain the phone fully until it shuts down, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with the screen off. After one complete cycle, the IC rewrites its reference curve to match the new cell and percentage accuracy returns to normal.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Kyocera Torque keeps shutting off around 25% after I put in the new battery — is that normal?

That's a voltage cliff, not a faulty cell. The modem and display on the Torque pull enough current to drag cell voltage below 3.0V while the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining, triggering the BMS cutoff. It happens most often before the first full calibration cycle. Run the phone down to shutdown once, charge fully to 100% without interruption, and the coulomb counter will reset against the new cell's actual discharge curve.

The E6710 battery percentage is jumping around erratically — 60%, then 45%, then back to 55% within minutes of installing the replacement.

The fuel gauge IC is reading the new cell against the discharge curve it stored for the original SCP-51LBPS — when cell impedance doesn't match the stored profile, the percentage calculation swings. This is a calibration mismatch, not a defective cell. Do one full slow discharge to shutdown and a full uninterrupted charge back to 100%. The IC overwrites its reference map and the jumping stops.

Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery in my Kyocera E6715 Torque XT — the phone just trickle charges now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the Torque XT sometimes falls back to trickle mode because it hasn't confirmed the new cell's internal resistance profile. It treats an unrecognised impedance signature as a safety condition and limits current. Let the phone complete one full slow charge to 100% at standard rate. On the next charge cycle the IC re-evaluates cell impedance, confirms it's within range, and restores the higher charge current automatically.
