Fits Lenovo IdeaPad A10 and A10-70 tablets, replacing OEM part L13M2P21.
3.7V, 6200mAh lithium-polymer cell restores full charge capacity to the A10 platform.
Connector seats flat into the tablet battery slot with single locking tab engagement.
We bench tested the cell on A10 firmware; BMS handshake completed on first insertion.
After installation, run one full discharge to sleep mode then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears inaccurate health warnings.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo IdeaPad A10 / A10-70 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (L13M2P21)

This is a 3.7V, 6200mAh (22.94Wh) lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Lenovo IdeaPad A10 and IdeaPad A10-70 tablet. It uses OEM part numbers L13M2P21 and L13L2P21. If your A10 won't hold a charge or drops off unexpectedly, this cell replaces the original flat-pack unit directly.

  • IdeaPad A10 and A10-70 fitment: Both variants share the same battery bay dimensions and connector pinout. The BMS handshake on the A10 platform expects a 3.7V nominal cell at this form factor — swapping to any other voltage or thickness breaks that communication and triggers a charge fault.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on the A10 platform and confirmed the BMS accepted the new cell without a charge fault. Full charge cycle completed without interruption, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff during a controlled discharge.
  • Post-install calibration on the A10: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge until the tablet hibernates, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.

BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after replacement

The IdeaPad A10 stores battery health data in EEPROM on the original cell. When you swap the cell, the BIOS reads stale wear-level data that doesn't match the new chemistry and flags it as degraded. This is not a fault with the replacement — it's a data mismatch. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate then a complete uninterrupted charge clears the cached data and lets the fuel gauge IC write fresh baseline values. After two full cycles, the health indicator returns to normal.

Tablet shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on screen

This happens when the fuel gauge IC hasn't yet calibrated against the new cell's voltage curve. The A10's gauge was trained on the old, degraded cell, so it misreads the new cell's voltage and calls shutdown too early. It isn't a faulty replacement — the IC simply needs reference points. Run two to three full discharge and charge cycles without interruption. After that, the gauge recalibrates to the new cell and the displayed percentage aligns with actual remaining capacity.

Frequently Asked Questions

My IdeaPad A10 shows 0% or "unknown" battery right after fitting the new cell — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The A10's fuel gauge IC lost its calibration reference when the old cell was removed, so it has no baseline for the new chemistry and reports 0% or unknown. Charge the tablet uninterrupted to 100%, then let it discharge fully to hibernate cutoff. After one complete cycle the gauge IC writes new reference data and the reading stabilises. If it still reads 0% after two full cycles, check that the connector is fully seated.

System info shows the wrong Wh rating for this battery — it lists a different number than 22.94Wh.

The Wh figure displayed in system info is pulled from the EEPROM on the old cell, not recalculated from the new one. The IdeaPad A10 BIOS caches the rated Wh from the previous battery until a learn cycle overwrites it. Run one full discharge to hibernate, then charge to 100% without interrupting. The BIOS then recalculates against the new cell and updates the Wh figure to match the actual 22.94Wh rating.

New battery charges fine but the health indicator still says "poor" or "replace" in Lenovo Vantage after the swap.

Lenovo Vantage reads health status from EEPROM wear-level data written by the previous cell. After a cell swap, that data is stale and doesn't reflect the new battery. Vantage will continue showing "poor" until the battery learn cycle runs. Do a full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge straight to 100% without pausing. After two complete cycles the EEPROM data updates and Vantage clears the warning.
