Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo IdeaPad C340-14IWL — 15.36V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (L18C4PF3)
This is a 15.36V, 2850mAh (43.78Wh) Li-Polymer battery for the Lenovo IdeaPad C340-14IWL and related 14-inch convertible models. It replaces the original L18C4PF3 cell when the laptop stops holding charge, fails to accept power, or the BIOS flags the battery health as poor. It also fits the IdeaPad C340-14API, IdeaPad Flex-14API, and the 81N6004UGE variant.
- C340 and Flex-14API platform fit: These models share the same 15.36V four-cell Li-Polymer architecture, identical connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — so one cell covers all listed variants without any modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on an IdeaPad C340-14IWL. The BMS handshake completed on first connect, the charge controller accepted the cell without fault codes, and capacity reporting stabilised after two full cycles.
- Post-install calibration for the C340: After installing, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.
BIOS reporting battery health as poor after fitting a new cell
The C340 BIOS reads health data stored in the old cell's EEPROM, not the new cell's actual chemistry. When a new cell is installed, that cached data no longer matches, so the system flags poor health immediately. This is not a fault with the replacement — it is a data mismatch. Run the battery learn cycle (full discharge to hibernate, uninterrupted charge to 100%) and the BIOS will re-map health against the new cell's actual behaviour.
Laptop shuts down at 20–30% shown on the gauge
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's discharge curve. The gauge loses accuracy early, and the laptop interprets the voltage drop as a critical low-battery event before the real capacity is exhausted. The fix is two to three full charge and discharge cycles — each one lets the fuel gauge IC re-map the voltage-to-capacity curve. After calibration, the shutdown threshold should align with the actual 3.0V per-cell cutoff.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does Lenovo Vantage show the wrong Wh rating after I put in the new battery?
The Wh figure displayed in Vantage pulls from EEPROM data embedded in the battery cell, and the rated value stored there can differ slightly from the actual chemistry in the replacement. This is a data reporting difference, not a capacity defect. The cell still delivers its full 43.78Wh — the gauge just reads the stored label, not a live measurement. Run two full discharge-to-charge cycles and Vantage will update its reported figure as the fuel gauge IC recalibrates.
The C340 charges fine but the Windows battery gauge is jumping around — showing 60%, then 45%, then back up — for the first few days after the swap. Is something wrong?
Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC on the C340 motherboard calibrates its voltage-to-percentage map against discharge data from the old cell, and that data is now stale. Until it collects two or three full cycles with the new cell, the percentage readout will be unstable. Each full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% feeds the IC fresh data. After three cycles the gauge typically settles to within a few percent across the full range.
My C340-14IWL stops charging at 80% and won't go higher — is the replacement battery faulty?
This is almost always the BIOS-level charge limit, not a battery fault. Lenovo's firmware includes a conservation mode that caps charge at 55% or 80% depending on the setting selected in Lenovo Vantage. Open Lenovo Vantage, go to Power → Battery Settings, and switch from Conservation Mode to Normal Mode. The cell will then charge to 100%. The replacement battery has no internal cap at 80% — the cutoff is firmware-controlled on the motherboard side.
