Windows shows the Miix 310 battery as 19Wh but the replacement is rated 25.53Wh — why is it reporting the wrong capacity?

Windows pulls the Wh figure directly from the battery's EEPROM, which still holds the rated data written by the original cell's firmware. The new cell's actual chemistry is 25.53Wh, but the system won't update that figure until the fuel gauge IC completes its recalibration cycles. Run two full discharge-to-100% charge cycles and the reported Wh figure in Windows Battery Report will converge toward the correct value. The replacement battery on the Miix 310 stops charging at 80% and never goes higher — is the charger faulty?

This is a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a charger or battery fault. Lenovo's firmware on the Miix 310 includes a battery conservation mode that caps charging at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress. Open Lenovo Vantage, navigate to Power, then Battery, and check whether Conservation Mode is toggled on — disable it and the charge ceiling returns to 100%.
