Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo Savers 14 / Rescuer Series — 15V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (L14S4PB0)
This is a 15V, 3900mAh (58.5Wh) Li-Polymer battery for the Lenovo Savers 14 and Rescuer series laptops. It replaces OEM part numbers L14S4PB0, 5B10H54717, L14M4PB0, and their variants. The battery restores unplugged operation on affected Lenovo notebooks where the original cell has degraded or failed.
- Savers 14 and Rescuer compatibility: These models share the same 15V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The Rescuer 14 and 15-ISK i7 variants draw higher sustained loads during gaming workloads, so the BMS on this cell is rated to handle the current spikes without tripping prematurely.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery through charge and discharge cycles on a Lenovo Rescuer unit. The BMS communicated correctly with the system, charge current tapered normally at top-of-charge, and the protection circuit responded correctly to over-discharge cutoff.
- Post-install calibration cycle: After fitting this battery, run the laptop down to hibernate cutoff on battery power, then charge it uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on Lenovo systems.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell
Lenovo firmware reads health data from the battery's EEPROM and compares it against the old cell's charge history. A brand-new cell has no accumulated cycle data, so the BIOS interprets the mismatch as degradation. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate then a complete uninterrupted charge allows the BIOS to complete its learn cycle and rewrite the health register. After two to three cycles, the system should report health correctly.
Laptop shuts down at 20–30% charge shown on screen
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual voltage curve. The displayed percentage is based on the old cell's data, so the reported figure is wrong — the cell hits its low-voltage cutoff while the screen still shows 20–30% remaining. It is not a faulty battery. Run two full discharge cycles to hibernate cutoff followed by full uninterrupted charges. After calibration, the gauge will track the new cell's curve accurately and the premature shutdown will stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Lenovo shows the new battery as 0% or "unknown" and won't charge — what's happening?
The BIOS is reading EEPROM data from the old cell and cannot match it to the new one yet. Plug in the charger and leave it connected for a full uninterrupted charge to 100% without powering the laptop on. Once the charge controller completes a full cycle, the system reregisters the cell and the 0% or unknown status clears. If it persists after one full charge, enter the BIOS and run the battery reset utility under the Power menu.
Windows is showing the new battery at 45Wh but the spec says 58.5Wh — is the cell wrong?
The Wh figure Windows reports pulls from the EEPROM on the old cell's firmware data, not from a live measurement of the new cell. It takes two to three full charge-discharge cycles before the fuel gauge IC recalculates the actual energy capacity and updates the reported Wh figure. No action needed beyond running calibration cycles. After three cycles, the reading should align closely with the rated 58.5Wh.
The Rescuer 15 shuts off instantly under full CPU and GPU load even with 60% charge showing — is this a voltage sag issue?
Yes. Under simultaneous CPU boost and GPU load, current draw spikes hard enough to drag the cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold for a fraction of a second. This trips an immediate shutdown even though the fuel gauge shows charge remaining. The fix is to run two full calibration cycles so the BMS learns the cell's actual internal resistance at your load levels. If the shutdowns continue after calibration, check that the charger is rated at 135W or above — running the Rescuer 15 on an underpowered adapter compounds the voltage sag problem.
