Fits Lenovo Tab V7 and replaces OEM part number L18D1P33.
3.85V, 5050mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers the same electrical output as the original battery.
Connector clips into the Tab V7 PB-6505M slot with a single locking tab on the left side.
We bench-tested this cell in a Tab V7 unit; the BMS accepted the pack on first insertion with no fault codes.
After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the fuel gauge calibration and fixes inaccurate percentage display.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo Tab V7 / PB-6505M — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (L18D1P33)

This is a 3.85V, 5050mAh lithium-polymer battery for the Lenovo Tab V7 (PB-6505M) tablet. It replaces OEM part L18D1P33 directly. Swap it in when the original cell has degraded, swollen, or stopped holding a usable charge.

  • Tab V7 and PB-6505M compatibility: Both model designations refer to the same hardware platform. They share the same connector pinout, BMS communication protocol, and 3.85V cell voltage — so one battery covers both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery through charge and discharge cycles on a Tab V7 unit. The BMS handshake cleared without error, charge acceptance was normal from the first cycle, and the charge IC showed no thermal flags.
  • Post-installation calibration tip: After fitting this battery, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the fuel gauge IC to recalibrate against the new cell. Skip this step and the percentage readout will drift — often showing 30% more or less than actual.

Tab V7 shutting down between 15–25% remaining after a battery swap

This is a fuel gauge calibration problem, not a battery fault. The charge IC learned the voltage curve of the old, degraded cell. When it hits a voltage it once associated with near-empty, it triggers shutdown — even though the new cell still has capacity left at that voltage. Run one full discharge to automatic shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that single cycle, the shutdown threshold resets and the remaining capacity readings stabilise.

Fast charging unavailable on Tab V7 after battery replacement

The Tab V7 uses a proprietary charge negotiation sequence between the charger, the USB-PD controller, and the battery BMS. On the first charge after a swap, this negotiation sometimes defaults to standard 5V charging until the BMS has completed one accepted cycle. Use the original Lenovo charger — third-party adapters that fail the handshake lock the charge rate at 5W. If fast charge still does not activate after the first full cycle, check the charge port for debris and confirm the cable supports high-current delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Tab V7 is reporting 60% battery but shuts off immediately — why is this happening after I replaced the battery?

The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's voltage curve and is triggering a false low-battery cutoff. The new cell has a slightly different discharge curve, and the IC doesn't recognise it yet. Run the tablet down to automatic shutdown, then charge it uninterrupted to 100% without removing the charger. After that one full cycle, the IC resets its reference points and the premature shutoff stops.

The battery percentage on my Tab V7 drops from 100% to around 70% within the first hour of light use — is the replacement battery faulty?

It isn't faulty — the fuel gauge IC is reading against the wrong baseline. After a swap, the IC still holds calibration data from the old degraded cell, so it over-reports the drop rate on a fresh cell. Discharge the tablet fully to automatic shutoff and then charge it straight to 100% without interruption. One complete cycle corrects the drift, and the percentage will track accurately from that point.

Fast charging worked before I swapped the battery on my Tab V7, but now it only charges slowly — what changed?

The Tab V7's charge controller runs a negotiation sequence with the BMS before unlocking fast charge. On the first cycle after a swap, the BMS sometimes defaults to 5V standard charging until it has one accepted charge cycle on record. Use the original Lenovo charger and cable — third-party accessories that fail the USB-PD handshake will keep the rate locked at 5W indefinitely. If fast charge doesn't resume after the first full charge, check that the USB-C port is clear of debris and that the cable is rated for high-current use.
