Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus ZenPad 3S 10 LTE / Z500KL — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (C12P1602)
This is a 3.85V, 7700mAh (29.65Wh) lithium-polymer battery for the Asus ZenPad 3S 10 LTE and Z500KL tablets. It also fits the ZenPad Z10 and ZT500KL. OEM part numbers C12P1602 and 0B200-02110100 both reference this same cell.
- Z500KL and ZT500KL platform compatibility: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The fuel gauge IC communicates over the same I²C bus, so the replacement cell is recognised without flashing or pairing procedures.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on a Z500KL unit and confirmed the BMS accepted the new pack at first connection, charge current ramped normally through constant-current phase, and the charge IC transitioned to trickle correctly at 4.35V.
- Fuel gauge IC reset after installation: After fitting this battery, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the tablet. This resets the fuel gauge IC calibration against the new cell and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that almost always appear directly after a swap.
Why the ZenPad Z500KL shuts down at 15–25% remaining
The Z500KL drives a 2048×1536 display and simultaneous LTE or Wi-Fi, which pulls a combined load high enough to cause a sharp voltage drop at the cell level. When cell voltage dips below the BMS cutoff threshold under that load, the tablet shuts off even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. A degraded original cell with elevated internal resistance hits that voltage cliff much earlier in the discharge curve. The replacement cell's lower internal resistance flattens the discharge curve and pushes that cutoff point much closer to true empty — but only after one full calibration cycle.
Fast charging not available after battery swap on the ZenPad 3S 10
The ZenPad 3S 10 uses a proprietary charge negotiation sequence over the USB-C port that must complete at least one full accepted charge cycle before the charge IC unlocks higher current rates. Immediately after a swap, the device defaults to standard 5V charging as a safety measure while the BMS and charge controller synchronise state on the new cell. Connect the original Asus charger — third-party USB-PD adapters often fail the handshake — and allow one uninterrupted full charge from near-empty to 100%. Fast charge should then become available on the next charge session.

Frequently Asked Questions
My ZenPad Z500KL is showing 60% battery right after I put in the new battery — is the percentage reading accurate?
No, and this is expected after a cell swap. The fuel gauge IC on the Z500KL was calibrated to the resistance and discharge curve of the old cell. With a new cell installed, its reference data is wrong. Run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge it uninterrupted to 100% with the screen off. After that single full cycle, the fuel gauge re-anchors to the new cell and percentage accuracy returns.
My ZenPad 3S 10 LTE drops from around 20% to dead instantly — why does this keep happening even with the new battery?
If you skipped the calibration cycle after installation, the fuel gauge IC still maps voltage to percentage using the old cell's profile. The new cell's actual empty voltage is being hit before the gauge reaches 0%, so the tablet cuts out abruptly at whatever percentage the old mapping says. Discharge the tablet fully to automatic shutoff once, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That recalibrates the cutoff threshold to the new cell's actual voltage floor, which sits at approximately 3.0V per cell under load.
The ZenPad 3S 10 battery percentage drops much faster from 100% than it did with the original — something wrong with this cell?
Almost certainly a fuel gauge drift issue, not a cell defect. The charge IC logged the previous cell's full-charge voltage as the 100% anchor point, and the new cell's slightly different charge acceptance curve shifts how quickly the gauge counts down from that anchor. Run one complete discharge-to-shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%. This forces the fuel gauge IC to rewrite its empty and full reference points against the new cell, and the drop rate should normalise from the next use.
