When a new cell is installed, the EEPROM registers zero cycles but the BIOS compares its internal threshold data against the previous cell's learned profile — flagging the mismatch as degraded or unknown. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Run one full learn cycle: discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge to 100% uninterrupted. The BIOS health status clears to normal once the learn cycle writes fresh data to match the new cell.

Why does the Yoga 11e Chromebook stop charging at 80% with the replacement cell?

This is not a fault with the replacement battery — the cell itself is capable of charging to full. Check the Lenovo Vantage settings or the Chrome OS battery section under Settings → Device → Power to confirm whether a charge limit is active. The system info screen shows the wrong Wh rating for the new battery — is something wrong with the cell?

The Wh figure shown in Chrome OS system information pulls from the cell's EEPROM, which stores the manufacturer-rated capacity of the original cell at the time it was programmed. The replacement cell carries its own EEPROM data, and the rated value may differ slightly from the 41.04Wh listed in the product specification without affecting actual capacity delivered.
