Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 15 — 15.1V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (SB10F46446)
This 15.1V, 4300mAh (64.93Wh) Li-Polymer battery replaces the original 4ICP6/58/92 cell in the Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 15 2-in-1 convertible laptop. It covers models including 20DQ001KUS, 20DQ0038GE, and 20DRS02AGE. OEM part numbers SB10F46446, SB10F46452, 00HW008, 00HW009, and 00HW014 all cross to this cell.
- ThinkPad Yoga 15 compatibility: These models share a single 15.1V four-cell Li-Polymer pack with a standardised SMBus connector and BMS handshake. The same voltage rail and cell configuration runs across the full 20DQ and 20DR production runs, so one pack fits all variants listed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack on a ThinkPad Yoga 15 board and confirmed the BMS initialised correctly on first insertion. Charge acceptance reached full capacity without the controller triggering a fault code or capping the charge cycle early.
- First-cycle conditioning on the ThinkPad Yoga 15: After installing, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on ThinkPad firmware.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after replacement
ThinkPad firmware reads health data from EEPROM registers stored on the original cell. When a new pack is installed, those registers are blank or mismatched, so the BIOS flags poor health before any real capacity data exists. This is a firmware state — not a fault with the replacement cell. Running the battery learn cycle (full discharge to hibernate, full uninterrupted charge) gives the BIOS real charge and discharge data to write to the new cell's EEPROM. After one or two full cycles, the health indicator updates to reflect actual cell condition.
Laptop shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on the gauge
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual voltage curve. The gauge reads a percentage mapped to the old cell's characteristics, so it underestimates how close the voltage is to the cutoff cliff. Under full CPU plus display load, voltage drops faster than the gauge expects and the system shuts down before it reaches the predicted 0%. Run two complete discharge-to-hibernate and charge-to-100% cycles — by the second cycle the fuel gauge IC recalibrates its internal model and the shutdowns stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
My ThinkPad Yoga 15 shows the new battery as "0% available (plugged in, not charging)" right after I installed it — is the cell dead?
The cell is not dead. ThinkPad firmware sometimes locks the charge circuit when EEPROM data from the old cell doesn't match the new pack's register values. Power off completely, disconnect the AC adapter for 30 seconds, reconnect, and boot. If it still shows 0%, enter the BIOS (F1 at startup), navigate to Config → Power, and confirm the charge threshold is not set to a custom limit below your current level. After one full learn cycle the gauge initialises correctly.
Windows says the battery is only 41Wh but the pack is rated 64.93Wh — why is the reported Wh wrong?
The Wh figure Windows displays is pulled from the EEPROM's design-capacity register, which still holds data from the old cell on a fresh swap. It has not yet been overwritten with the new cell's rated values. Run one full discharge to the hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — the BIOS learn cycle rewrites the EEPROM register and the reported Wh corrects itself in Windows Power settings after the next full cycle.
The charge stops at exactly 80% and won't go higher — is this a faulty batch?
This is not a cell fault. Lenovo BIOS ships with a Conservation Mode charge limit that caps charging at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress during AC-heavy use. Press Fn + B (on some models) or open Lenovo Vantage → Power → Battery Charge Threshold and switch the mode from Conservation to Normal. The charge ceiling moves back to 100% immediately on the next charge cycle.
