This is a 15.36V, 3500mAh (53.76Wh) Li-Polymer battery for the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga 2018 2-in-1 convertible laptop. It replaces OEM part numbers L17C4P71, L17M4P71, SB10K97623, SB10K97624, and several others used across the 2018 X1 Yoga lineup. Fits 20LD-series variants including 20LD000KCD, 20LD000SCD, and 20LD000TCD.

The fuel gauge IC in the new cell hasn't yet calibrated its voltage-to-capacity curve against your specific usage load. My ThinkPad X1 Yoga shows the new battery as "0% available (plugged in, not charging)" right after install — what's wrong?
The EC lost communication with the cell's EEPROM during the swap and defaulted to a locked-out charge state. Shut the laptop down completely, remove the AC adapter for 30 seconds, then reconnect power and boot. This forces the EC to re-poll the battery controller. If the fault persists, enter ThinkPad Setup (F1 at boot), navigate to Config → Power, and run the battery reset option to clear the stored charge-state error.
Windows shows the Wh rating as 45Wh on the system info screen, but the battery is rated 53.76Wh — which is correct?
The 45Wh figure comes from EEPROM data the EC cached from the old cell — it doesn't update automatically on swap. The actual cell you've installed is 53.76Wh as rated. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate cycle and a complete uninterrupted charge to 100%; the EC rewrites its stored Wh value from the new cell's chemistry data during that learn cycle. After that cycle completes, Windows power settings will reflect the correct 53.76Wh capacity.
The battery charges to 80% and stops — is the replacement cell capped at that level?
This is a BIOS-level charge threshold, not a cell fault. Lenovo ships ThinkPads with Conservation Mode enabled by default, which caps charging at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress during AC-connected use. Open Lenovo Vantage, go to Power → Battery settings, and switch the charge threshold to "Full Charge" or manually set the upper limit to 100%. The cell itself has no internal cap — the firmware is controlling the charge cutoff.
