Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

LG Transpyre / VS810 / LS660 — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BL-41A1H)
This is a 3.8V, 2000mAh Li-ion cell built to fit the LG Transpyre, VS810, VS810PP, and LS660 smartphones, along with ten additional LG variants sharing the same battery bay. It replaces OEM part BL-41A1H (also listed as EAC62638301). Install it when the original cell no longer holds a charge or causes unexpected shutdowns.
- VS810 / LS660 platform compatibility: These models share the same 3.8V nominal rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers the full variant range without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on VS810 hardware. The BMS accepted the charge handshake cleanly, and protection circuits tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff — no false triggers during normal load.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC build an accurate discharge curve against the new cell before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated state-of-charge register.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the LG Transpyre after a cell swap
This happens because the fuel gauge IC still holds the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. When the new cell hits a voltage cliff under modem or screen load, the phone reads 25% but the actual cell voltage drops below the shutdown threshold instantly. The OS has no time to react. One full discharge-charge cycle forces the coulomb counter to remap against the new cell's actual voltage curve, and the shutdowns stop.
Phone warm near the battery during first charge after replacement
A fresh cell arrives with higher internal impedance than a broken-in one. During the first charge cycle, the charge IC pushes current into a cell that hasn't yet settled its impedance, which generates slightly more heat than normal. This is expected and typically resolves after one or two full cycles. If the phone stays warm past the second charge or the charger cuts off early, check that the USB cable and adapter are delivering stable voltage — a resistive cable raises charge IC temperature independently of the cell.

Frequently Asked Questions
My LG Transpyre shows 25% battery then shuts off instantly — is the new cell faulty?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC on the Transpyre calibrated its discharge curve to your old, degraded cell, not this one. When voltage drops sharply under modem load at what the OS reads as 25%, the phone hits its shutdown floor before the OS can warn you. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — the coulomb counter resets against the new curve and the cliff shutdowns stop.
The Transpyre battery percentage jumps around erratically after I put in the replacement — skipping from 60% to 45% in seconds.
That's the fuel gauge IC recalibrating in real time against a cell it's never seen before. The state-of-charge register inherited values tuned to your old cell's impedance and capacity, so readings drift until the IC collects enough charge-discharge data to stabilise. One complete uninterrupted discharge followed by a full charge to 100% gives the IC enough data points to lock in accurate readings. Avoid pulling the battery or rebooting mid-cycle during that first calibration run.
Fast charging stopped working after I installed this battery — the Transpyre only trickle charges now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC often defaults to standard CC/CV charging because the BMS on the new cell hasn't yet completed a handshake with the phone's USB-PD or proprietary charge protocol. This is a protection behaviour, not a fault. Let the phone complete one full charge at the reduced rate, disconnect, and reconnect the charger — fast charging typically re-engages on the second connection once the BMS has confirmed cell parameters to the charge IC. Use the original LG charger for this first cycle, as third-party adapters can stall the protocol negotiation entirely.
