Fits LG Velvet 5G, G900V, G900T, and LMG900TM — replaces OEM BL-T50 and EAC64790201.
3.85V nominal, 4000mAh capacity sustains the processor, modem, and display load without early voltage sag.
Connector aligns vertically into the battery slot with a single locking tab on the left edge.
We ran the cell through three full discharge cycles on the stock firmware — BMS accepted input without fault codes and held stable voltage under screen-on load.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell discharge curve before USB-PD pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

LG Velvet 5G / G900 Series — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BL-T50)

This is a 3.85V, 4000mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the LG Velvet 5G and G900 series smartphones, including the G900V, G900T, and LMG900TM. It replaces OEM part numbers BL-T50 and EAC64790201. This cell powers the display, processor, and 5G modem stack directly.

  • G900 series compatibility: The G900V, G900T, and LMG900TM share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol as the base Velvet 5G. All variants run the same 3.85V nominal rail, so one cell covers the full lineup without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on a G900-series unit. The BMS accepted the cell on first connect, charge termination triggered correctly at 4.35V, and the fuel gauge IC began tracking capacity within the first cycle.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes amps into an uncalibrated state — which causes erratic percentage readings.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Velvet 5G after a cell swap

The Velvet 5G's 5G modem draws sharp current spikes during band switching and handoff events. If the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old degraded cell's discharge curve, it misreads remaining capacity on the new cell. The phone's software acts on that stale data and triggers a low-voltage shutdown even though the actual cell voltage hasn't dropped dangerously. Run one full discharge to around 3.0V at the terminals, then a full uninterrupted charge to let the coulomb counter reset against the new cell.

USB-PD fast charge not activating on the first charge after replacement

After a cell swap, the charge IC sometimes defaults to trickle mode on the first cycle because it treats the new cell as potentially over-discharged or unverified. This is a protective handshake — not a fault in the replacement cell. Plug into the original LG fast charger rather than a third-party USB-PD brick for the first charge. Once the charge IC confirms the cell is stable above 3.0V per cell, it re-enables the fast charge negotiation on subsequent cycles.

Frequently Asked Questions

My LG Velvet 5G keeps shutting off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is something wrong with the cell?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge curve it mapped for the old, degraded battery, so it miscalculates the voltage cliff on the new cell and triggers an early shutdown. Run one full uninterrupted discharge until the phone powers off on its own, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single calibration cycle, the coulomb counter resets to the new cell and shutdowns at 20–30% stop.

The battery percentage is jumping around — it skips from 60% down to 41% in minutes, then sits there for ages. What's happening?

The fuel gauge IC recalibrates itself against the new cell's discharge curve over the first few cycles, and until that process completes, percentage readings can jump erratically. This is a software estimation problem, not a cell fault. Avoid topping up in short bursts during this period — short partial charges give the coulomb counter less data to work with. Complete two or three full discharge-charge cycles and the readings will stabilise.

My Velvet 5G won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in storage for a few months before I installed it.

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if this one dropped below 2.5V, the BMS enters lockout mode to prevent charging a deeply discharged cell unsafely. Plug the phone into its original charger and leave it connected for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC delivers a low-current pre-charge to bring the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold of around 2.7V. Once it crosses that threshold, the BMS releases lockout and normal charging resumes.
