Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy A22 5G — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (SCUD-WT-W1)
This is a 3.85V, 4900mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G smartphone. It fits SM-A226B, SM-A226B/DS, SM-A226B/DSN, and related variants. Install it when the original cell no longer holds charge through a normal day of use.
- SM-A226B variant coverage: The SM-A226B, SM-A226B/DS, and SM-A226B/DSN share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell fits all three. The alternate OEM reference WT-S-W1 maps to the same physical battery.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on SM-A226B hardware. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, fast charge negotiation completed on the second cycle, and voltage held steady under simultaneous screen, modem, and GPS load.
- First-cycle fuel gauge reset: After installing this cell, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. The fuel gauge IC on the A22 5G calibrates its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve. Skipping this step causes the OS to report inaccurate percentages for the first several days.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Galaxy A22 5G after a cell swap
This happens because the fuel gauge IC still holds the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. When the new cell hits a voltage point the IC associates with a hard cutoff on the old curve, the phone shuts down even though actual capacity remains. The fix is a full calibration cycle: drain the phone to automatic shutdown, charge uninterrupted to 100% without fast charging, then repeat once more. After two full cycles the coulomb counter recalibrates and shutdowns at false lows stop.
USB-PD fast charge not recognised on first plug-in after replacement
On first connection after a cell swap, the charge IC on the A22 5G may negotiate only standard 5V/1A instead of fast charge. This occurs because the BMS needs one complete standard-rate charge cycle before it signals readiness to the USB-PD controller. Do not force fast charge on the first cycle. Complete one full charge at standard rate, unplug, and reconnect with the fast charger — the handshake completes correctly at that point and fast charge activates normally.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Galaxy A22 5G shuts off at around 25% right after I put in the new battery — is the battery faulty?
The battery is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC in the A22 5G is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so it triggers a shutdown at a voltage point that no longer represents true empty on the new cell. Run two full cycles — drain to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% at standard rate without fast charging. After the second cycle the coulomb counter aligns to the new cell and the early shutdowns stop.
The battery percentage on my A22 5G keeps jumping around after the replacement — it went from 60% to 44% in two minutes without me doing anything.
Erratic percentage jumps are a fuel gauge IC recalibration symptom, not a cell defect. The IC is interpolating state-of-charge against a stored curve that no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage profile. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles at standard rate — no fast charging — and the coulomb counter rebuilds an accurate curve. Percentage readings stabilise within 48 hours of normal use after those two cycles.
The phone feels noticeably warm near the back during the first few charges after I swapped the battery — should I be worried?
Mild warmth during the first two or three charges on a new high-impedance cell is normal. The charge IC applies a conditioning current while the cell's internal resistance settles, which generates slightly more heat than a broken-in cell would. If the back stays comfortably touchable — not hot — there is no fault. If the phone becomes too hot to hold, stop charging immediately and check that the battery connector is fully seated flat with no lifted pins.
