Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lionelo Babyline 7.1 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (GSP623745)
This is a 3.7V, 1100mAh lithium-polymer battery for the Lionelo Babyline 7.1 baby monitor parent unit handset. It replaces part number GSP623745 and fits the handset directly. When the original cell degrades, the parent unit loses charge quickly and wireless monitoring suffers — this battery restores normal operation.
- Babyline 7.1 parent unit fit: The parent handset runs a single-cell 3.7V Li-Polymer pack. The GSP623745 cell matches the original voltage rail and connector, so the handset BMS accepts the swap without fault codes or charge refusals.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Babyline 7.1 parent unit. The BMS accepted charge from flat, balanced correctly at 4.2V, and held capacity within spec across multiple cycles.
- Re-pair after fitting: The Babyline 7.1 parent unit loses its wireless link to the camera unit when power is fully interrupted. After fitting this battery, hold the pairing button on both units until the link LED confirms the connection — skipping this step leaves the parent unit showing no signal.
Parent unit not connecting to the camera unit after battery swap
Removing the battery cuts power completely to the parent unit's radio module, which wipes the stored pairing state. The camera unit keeps broadcasting, but the parent unit comes back up with no saved link. This is not a fault with the new battery — it is normal behaviour after any full power loss. Hold the pairing button on the camera unit first, then on the parent unit, and wait for the confirmation tone before releasing.
Parent unit range drops noticeably after fitting the new battery
The Babyline 7.1 radio transmitter draws more current at longer range, and its output power scales with available voltage. A freshly fitted Li-Polymer cell that hasn't completed a full first charge sits below 4.0V, which is enough to power the screen but not enough to sustain full radio output. Charge the parent unit to 100% before testing range — the BMS signals a full charge when the charge indicator stops flashing. Retesting from the same location after a full charge usually resolves the range complaint.

Frequently Asked Questions
The night vision on the camera unit stopped working after I replaced the parent unit battery — did I break something?
Night vision is controlled by the camera unit, not the parent unit, so the battery swap didn't cause this directly. What likely happened is the camera unit lost its pairing link when the parent unit lost power, and it defaulted to standby mode with IR LEDs off. Re-pair both units, then check the night vision setting in the parent unit menu — it sometimes resets to "off" after a fresh pairing. If the IR LEDs still don't activate, confirm the parent unit battery is at a full 4.2V charge before ruling out a voltage issue.
The parent unit battery is draining completely overnight even with the new battery fitted — is something wrong with the cell?
This is not a cell fault. The Babyline 7.1 parent unit draws sustained current overnight when the screen stays on continuously, and the 1100mAh capacity is calculated against normal intermittent use, not an all-night lit screen. Go into the parent unit settings and enable the screen timeout or VOX mode — VOX activates the screen only when the camera detects sound, cutting the overnight draw significantly. If the battery still drains flat with screen timeout active, check whether the alert volume is set to maximum, as the speaker amplifier adds meaningful load during frequent triggers.
After a full charge the parent unit shows full bars, then drops to one bar within an hour — what's causing that?
This is a BMS calibration issue, not a faulty battery. When the original cell was deeply discharged over time, the BMS learned incorrect full and empty reference points. The new cell has different characteristics, so the fuel gauge reads inaccurately until the BMS recalibrates. Run two full charge-to-flat-to-full cycles — charge to 4.2V, let the unit run until it shuts off automatically, then charge back to full without interrupting. After two complete cycles the gauge typically stabilises and reflects accurate capacity.
