Fits Oricom SC875 parent unit; original battery part number not designated by manufacturer.
3.8V and 2400mAh capacity powers the wireless parent receiver for extended monitoring sessions without midday recharging.
Connector slides into the vertical slot on the rear panel; polarity marked inside the battery compartment.
We ran load cycles simulating overnight monitoring — the BMS held voltage steady through discharge, no early cutoff observed.
After battery installation, re-pair the parent unit with the camera unit by holding the sync button for three seconds.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Oricom SC875 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery

This 3.8V 2400mAh (9.12Wh) Li-Polymer battery replaces the parent unit battery in the Oricom SC875 baby monitor. It fits the parent handset — the unit you carry around the house while the camera stays in the child's room. Swap it in when the original no longer holds enough charge to get through a night shift.

  • SC875 parent unit fit: The SC875 parent unit runs a 3.8V Li-Polymer cell at this exact footprint — 75.10 x 54.80 x 4.80mm. The slim 4.80mm profile is tight inside the housing, so dimensional accuracy matters more here than in most consumer devices.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the cell through charge and discharge cycles and confirmed the BMS holds cutoff correctly at the low-voltage threshold. The cell reaches rated capacity without overcharge on the SC875 dock.
  • Wireless re-pair after replacement: The SC875 parent unit drops its link to the camera unit when it loses power completely. After fitting this battery, charge it before powering on — then re-pair the parent unit with the camera following the SC875 pairing sequence in the manual.

Parent unit not connecting to the camera unit after battery swap

When the parent unit drops to zero volts — which happens during a battery replacement — it loses the stored pairing data for the camera unit. The SC875 uses a radio handshake between the two units, and that link does not restore automatically on power-up. You need to run the manual pairing sequence: hold the pair button on the camera unit, then initiate pairing from the parent unit menu. Do this with the parent unit charged above 3.6V so the radio module has enough voltage to complete the handshake.

Night vision stops working after fitting a new battery

The SC875 camera unit handles night vision, but the parent unit display needs enough voltage to render the IR feed correctly — a low parent battery causes the screen to drop brightness or cut the night vision stream entirely. If the display looks washed out or the night mode icon disappears, the parent unit cell is likely under-charged rather than faulty. Charge the new battery fully before testing night vision. A rested cell sitting at 3.8V nominal should resolve the display issue without any further adjustment.

Frequently Asked Questions

My SC875 parent unit shows full signal bars right after the battery swap but the range is much shorter than it used to be — why?

Radio transmission power in the SC875 parent unit scales with available voltage. A new Li-Polymer cell often ships at a storage charge of around 3.5V, which is enough to power the display and show signal bars but not enough for the radio module to transmit at full power. Charge the battery completely before testing range. At a full 3.8V nominal, the radio output returns to its rated level and the range issue resolves without any hardware fix.

The parent unit battery drains completely overnight even on a full charge — is the new cell faulty?

Overnight drain on the SC875 is almost always a screen timeout issue, not a bad cell. The parent unit screen stays on by default in some firmware versions, and a lit LCD with active radio polling is a sustained draw that will flatten a 2400mAh cell faster than expected. Go into the parent unit display settings and enable the screen timeout or eco mode — this cuts the overnight draw significantly. If drain continues with the screen off, check that the intercom mode is not left active, as two-way audio runs the speaker circuit continuously.

After fitting the replacement battery, the parent unit powers on but the camera feed shows a frozen or blank screen — what causes that?

A frozen or blank camera feed on first power-up after a battery swap usually means the parent unit completed its boot sequence before the camera unit finished re-establishing the radio link. The SC875 camera unit needs a moment to broadcast its signal after the parent unit re-pairs. Power-cycle the camera unit at the wall, wait 20 seconds, then turn the parent unit on fresh. If the feed is still blank, run the full pairing sequence again with the parent unit charged above 3.6V.
