Fits Maxwest Nitro 5P smartphone; replaces OEM battery part number AHB425462P.
3.8V, 2300mAh Li-Polymer cell restores full charge capacity lost through normal aging cycles.
Connector solders directly to board; no locking tab — orientation marked on housing.
We bench-tested on a Nitro 5P motherboard; BMS accepted the cell on first connection without fault.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one full discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Maxwest Nitro 5P — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (AHB425462P)

This 3.8V, 2300mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original AHB425462P battery in the Maxwest Nitro 5P smartphone. It matches the factory voltage, capacity, and physical dimensions at 72.00 × 58.00 × 4.80mm. Fit the replacement when the original cell can no longer sustain daily use through a full charge cycle.

  • Nitro 5P fitment: The AHB425462P uses a specific connector pinout and flex tab position tied to the Nitro 5P's charge IC and BMS handshake. Only cells matching this footprint will seat correctly against the frame and connect to the fuel gauge IC without adapter modifications.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Nitro 5P platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and the charge IC transitioned cleanly from bulk to taper phase at the correct cutoff voltage.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC build a fresh discharge curve against the new cell before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Nitro 5P after a cell swap

The Nitro 5P's fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve from the previous degraded cell. When the replacement cell hits a voltage point the old curve marks as 20–30%, the phone may cut power even though usable capacity remains. The phone shuts down because the IC interprets the voltage reading as critically low, not because the cell is actually depleted. One full discharge down to auto-shutoff followed by a complete charge resets the coulomb counter and maps the new cell's actual voltage cliff — typically near 3.2V under modem load.

Device not powering on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if a replacement cell drops below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters lockout to prevent cell damage. The phone will show no response — no charge indicator, no boot — even when connected to a charger. Connect the phone to a wall adapter rated at least 5V/1A and leave it undisturbed for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on. Once the BMS sees voltage recover above its wake threshold, charging resumes normally and the phone will boot.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Nitro 5P shows 25% battery and just shuts off without warning — is the new cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The Nitro 5P's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the old degraded cell's discharge curve, so it misreads the replacement cell's voltage and triggers a shutdown well before the cell is actually empty. Run one full discharge to auto-shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without fast charging enabled. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter resets against the new cell and the percentage readings stabilise.

The battery percentage on my Nitro 5P jumps around erratically after fitting the new cell — it went from 60% to 45% in two minutes without me doing anything.

Erratic percentage jumps are a fuel gauge IC recalibration issue, not a defective cell. The IC is still referencing internal estimates built from the old cell's impedance and capacity data. The jumps settle after the gauge accumulates real data from the new cell. Do one complete discharge — use the phone normally until it shuts itself off — then charge straight to 100% at the standard charge rate, and the readings will stabilise.

Fast charging stopped working on my Nitro 5P after I fitted the replacement battery — it only slow-charges now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the Nitro 5P sometimes withholds fast charge mode until it has verified the new cell's impedance is within the expected range for high-current delivery. This is normal BMS behaviour on an uncalibrated cell. Let the phone complete one full charge at the standard rate, then disconnect and reconnect the charger — fast charge mode should re-engage once the IC has logged the new cell's baseline resistance at the trickle and bulk charge phases.
