Fits CAT B26 smartphones and replaces OEM battery part number B26.
3.7V, 1350mAh capacity delivers the original charge capacity for full-day operation on this rugged device.
Proprietary connector locks into the B26 battery slot with a single tab — no adapter needed.
We bench-tested this cell in a B26 unit; the BMS accepted the new pack on first insertion with no fault codes.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle with standard charging only — this recalibrates the fuel gauge IC against the new cell's discharge curve before any fast-charge protocol engages.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

CAT B26 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (B26)

This is a 3.7V, 1350mAh Li-ion cell for the CAT B26 rugged smartphone. It fits the B26 directly, matching the original connector and BMS communication protocol. Capacity figure is 1350mAh (5Wh) as specified in the product data.

  • CAT B26 platform fit: The B26 uses a single-cell 3.7V Li-ion pack with a proprietary connector and a BMS that handshakes with the device's fuel gauge IC. This replacement matches that voltage rail and connector pinout so the phone's charge controller sees a recognised cell.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge passes on a CAT B26 unit. The BMS reported correct state-of-charge throughout, and charge termination triggered cleanly at 4.2V with no false cutoffs during the modem-active draw phase.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first installation, disable fast charging if your B26 supports it, then run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This gives the fuel gauge IC one full pass to map the new cell's discharge curve before reporting percentage to the OS.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the CAT B26 after a cell swap

The B26's fuel gauge IC holds a discharge model calibrated to the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that model is stale — the IC misjudges the new cell's voltage-to-capacity curve. Under load from the modem or display backlight, the cell's actual terminal voltage drops below the shutdown threshold before the reported percentage catches up. The phone cuts out even though the gauge still shows charge remaining. One full discharge-charge cycle at standard rate resets the coulomb counter and resolves this.

CAT B26 not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells ship at a partial state of charge and self-discharge during storage. If the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters lockout mode to protect the cell from damage. The phone will show nothing — no boot screen, no charge indicator — which looks like a dead unit but is a BMS protection state. Connect to a wall charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes; the charge IC applies a trickle current to bring the cell above the BMS re-enable threshold, after which normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My CAT B26 shuts off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is the cell faulty?

The cell is most likely fine. The B26's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so it misreads the new cell's voltage under load — the phone hits the hardware shutdown threshold before the percentage display reaches zero. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard rate. After that single cycle the coulomb counter resets and the shutdowns stop.

The CAT B26 battery percentage is jumping around erratically — went from 60% to 41% in two minutes.

This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against the new cell. The IC uses a stored discharge model; a fresh cell has different internal resistance and a slightly different voltage curve, so the percentage reading oscillates until the counter catches up with real-world data. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles at standard rate without interrupting the charge. The jumps narrow with each cycle as the IC refines its model against the actual cell.

The CAT B26 won't power on at all after the replacement battery arrived — no screen, no charge light.

If the cell voltage dropped below roughly 2.5V during shipping or storage, the BMS locks out to prevent cell damage — the phone shows nothing, not even the charging animation. Plug into a wall adapter (not a PC USB port, which may not supply enough current) and leave it connected for at least 20 minutes without pressing any buttons. The charge IC delivers a trickle current to bring the cell above the BMS re-enable threshold; once it crosses that point the charge light activates and the phone boots normally.
