Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Medion CIM2000 / MD95763 — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is an 11.1V 4000mAh (44.4Wh) Li-ion battery for the Medion CIM2000 and MD95763 notebooks. It slots into the original battery bay and connects through the same multi-pin connector used by the factory cell. It restores full untethered operation when the original cell has degraded past usable capacity.
- CIM2000 and MD95763 fit: Both models run the same 11.1V three-cell Li-ion architecture, share the same form factor and connector pinout, and pull charge termination data from the same BIOS battery interface. One replacement cell covers both.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge-discharge cycles on a CIM2000-class platform. The BMS accepted charge handshake correctly, current draw stayed within thermal limits at full CPU and display load, and the fuel gauge IC updated without triggering a protection cutoff.
- First-cycle reset on the CIM2000: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge down to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to rewrite against the new cell's actual capacity and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell
The BIOS on the CIM2000 reads health status from EEPROM data written during previous charge cycles. When a new cell arrives with blank or factory-default EEPROM values, the BIOS compares those figures against its stored baseline and flags the result as degraded. This is a data mismatch, not a faulty battery. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate then a complete uninterrupted charge to 100%. The learn cycle rewrites the EEPROM reference data and the health warning clears.
Notebook shuts down abruptly at 20–30% charge shown on screen
This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under combined CPU and display load before the fuel gauge reaches its predicted cutoff point. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's voltage curve, so its percentage reading drifts from the new cell's actual state-of-charge. The BMS triggers a protection cutoff at minimum safe cell voltage while the OS still shows charge remaining. Complete two to three full discharge and charge cycles so the fuel gauge IC can map its percentage thresholds against the new cell's voltage curve. After calibration, the shutdown should not occur above 5–8%.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Medion CIM2000 shows the replacement battery as "0% available (plugged in, charging)" and never moves off zero — what's wrong?
The fuel gauge IC is reading EEPROM data from the old cell and cannot reconcile it with the new cell's charge state. Leave the laptop plugged in until the charge LED indicates full, then run a complete discharge to hibernate before charging again uninterrupted. One full learn cycle is usually enough for the OS to start reporting an accurate percentage. If it stays at 0% after two full cycles, check the BIOS battery settings for a charge limit or threshold that may be holding the reported value down.
System information on the CIM2000 shows the wrong Wh rating — it lists something lower than the 44.4Wh on the battery label. Is the cell underspec?
The Wh figure shown in system info is pulled from EEPROM data embedded in the cell, which sometimes holds a factory-default or rounded value that doesn't match the label exactly. The actual electrochemical capacity of the cell is 44.4Wh as rated. This is a data reporting difference, not a capacity shortfall. Run the battery learn cycle — one full discharge to hibernate cutoff followed by a complete charge to 100% — and the system Wh figure will update to reflect the new cell's measured capacity.
New battery installed in the MD95763 but charging stops at around 80% and won't go higher — is the cell defective?
This is almost always a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a fault with the cell itself. Some Medion BIOS versions include a battery conservation mode that caps charging at 80% to reduce cell stress during constant mains use. Go into the BIOS setup utility or any pre-installed Medion battery management software and check for a charge threshold or battery care setting. Disable it or set the limit to 100%, then reconnect the charger and the cell should charge through to full.
