Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Medion Erazer X7615 / X7613 — 11.4V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BTY-L76)
This is an 11.4V, 5400mAh (61.56Wh) Li-Polymer battery for the Medion Erazer X7615 and X7613 gaming laptops. It replaces OEM part BTY-L76 and connects directly to the existing battery bay without modification. Fit and connector alignment were confirmed against the original cell dimensions: 253.73 x 120.50 x 7.90mm.
- Erazer X7615 and X7613 compatibility: Both models run the same 11.4V three-cell Li-Polymer pack with identical connector pinout and BMS communication protocol. The BTY-L76 part number covers the full production run of both machines — there is no mid-cycle revision that changes the battery interface.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge, discharge, and BMS handshake verification on the Erazer platform. The BMS accepted the cell, reported state-of-charge correctly after calibration cycles, and held voltage within spec under sustained CPU and GPU load.
- First-cycle reset for Erazer BIOS: After installing, run the laptop down to hibernate-cutoff on battery only, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.
BIOS reporting battery health as poor immediately after fitting the BTY-L76
The Erazer BIOS reads EEPROM data stored by the previous cell and flags a health mismatch when a new pack is detected. This is not a fault with the replacement — it is a stale reference the firmware held over from the old battery. Running one full discharge to hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% triggers the learn cycle and rewrites the BIOS reference point. After one or two cycles the health indicator returns to normal and the warning clears.
Erazer shutting down abruptly while the OS gauge still shows 20–30% charge
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual voltage curve. The gauge estimates remaining charge using the old cell's profile, so the displayed percentage is wrong. Under full gaming load — CPU boost plus display — voltage drops faster than the uncalibrated gauge predicts and the battery hits the low-voltage cutoff before the OS registers it. Run two full discharge-to-hibernate and charge-to-100% cycles to let the fuel gauge IC map the new cell, and the cutoff will align with the displayed percentage at or below 5%.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does the Erazer BIOS show "battery unknown" or 0% right after I put the new BTY-L76 in?
The BIOS is reading EEPROM data left by the old cell and cannot match it to the new pack's profile. It flags the battery as unknown until it has a full reference cycle to work from. Discharge fully to hibernate on battery only, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — one complete cycle is usually enough to clear it. After that cycle the BIOS will report the correct state-of-charge.
My Erazer shuts off suddenly while the battery indicator still shows around 25% — why?
The fuel gauge IC inside the laptop calibrates itself against each cell over time. With a fresh cell it is still using the old voltage curve, so the percentage it reports drifts from reality under load. When the Erazer is running the GPU and CPU hard, the cell voltage drops quickly and hits the hardware low-voltage cutoff before the gauge catches up. Run two full discharge-to-hibernate and charge-to-100% cycles and the shutdowns will stop — the gauge will track the new cell's actual curve down to around 5%.
The OS shows the BTY-L76 as 61Wh but my system info screen lists a different Wh figure — is this a wrong battery?
The figure in system info is pulled from the EEPROM on the old or default battery record the BIOS cached — it is not reading the new cell directly until a learn cycle completes. The actual rated capacity of this cell is 61.56Wh at 11.4V, which matches the BTY-L76 specification. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by a full charge to 100% and the BIOS will update its stored Wh reference to reflect the new pack.
