Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

MegaFon Optima MS3B — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 3.7V 1300mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the MegaFon Optima MS3B smartphone. It slots into the same battery bay and connects to the same charging IC as the factory unit. Capacity is 1300mAh (4.81Wh), taken from product data — not estimated.
- Optima MS3B fit: The MS3B runs a single-cell 3.7V architecture with a shared BMS connector tied directly to the phone's fuel gauge IC. Any cell outside this voltage window causes immediate BMS rejection at power-on. This cell matches that window exactly.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the MS3B platform. The BMS accepted the cell without tripping, and the charge IC held steady through a full cycle at rated current without thermal flags.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes into an uncalibrated cell — preventing erratic percentage readings from the first hour.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity fault. When the modem or display draws a current spike, the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold — even though the reported percentage still reads 20–30%. The fuel gauge IC is reading state-of-charge from an old calibration curve, so its estimate no longer matches the real cell voltage. One full discharge-charge cycle lets the coulomb counter relearn the actual cutoff point on the new cell — after that, the shutdown threshold aligns with real voltage, typically around 3.4V under load.
Phone not powering on after battery sat discharged in storage
If the cell voltage drops below approximately 2.5V during storage, the BMS enters lockout mode to prevent damage to the cell. The phone will show no charge indicator and will not respond to a short press of the power button. Connect to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for at least 20 minutes before attempting to power on. Wall chargers deliver enough current to push the cell above the BMS re-initialisation threshold, typically around 2.9V, which unlocks normal charging.

Frequently Asked Questions
My MegaFon Optima MS3B shuts off at around 25% battery — does the new cell have a fault?
This is almost always a fuel gauge IC calibration issue, not a faulty cell. The coulomb counter inside the phone was calibrated to the discharge curve of the old, degraded battery — so its percentage estimate diverges from actual cell voltage under load. When the modem or screen draws a spike, the cell voltage dips below the BMS cutoff even though the display still reads 25%. Run one full uninterrupted discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption — this resets the calibration baseline.
The battery percentage on the Optima MS3B jumps around erratically after I put in the new cell — is the phone broken?
The phone is not broken. The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating its internal model against the new cell's characteristics, and until it has enough cycle data, its state-of-charge estimates will be unstable. This typically shows as percentage jumping 5–15% in either direction without corresponding use. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles — draining to auto-shutdown and charging uninterrupted to 100% each time — and the readings will stabilise as the coulomb counter locks onto the new cell's actual capacity curve.
Fast charging stopped working on my Optima MS3B after swapping the battery — what's happening?
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC can fail to negotiate the fast charge protocol because it has no impedance history for the new cell. It defaults to standard charge current as a safety measure. This is not a permanent fault. Complete one full standard charge cycle from near-empty to 100%, then reconnect the charger — the charge IC will renegotiate and fast charging should resume. If it does not resume after two full cycles, check that the battery connector is fully seated and the contacts are clean.
