Fits Samsung Galaxy Note (GT-N7000, GT-I9220, SGH-i717) and replaces OEM part GH43-03640B.
This 3.7V, 2000mAh Li-ion cell restores full charge capacity to the original battery slot.
Connector is a standard two-pin JST type with flat orientation; slides into the battery compartment without modification.
We bench-tested the pack on a GT-N7000 unit — the BMS accepted charge immediately and held voltage stable under 500mA discharge load.
On first use, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 / GT-I9220 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (GH43-03640B)

This is a 3.7V, 2000mAh Li-ion cell replacing OEM part GH43-03640B in the Samsung Galaxy Note. It fits the GT-N7000, GT-I9220, SGH-i717, and compatible variants. Install it when the original cell no longer holds charge or causes unexpected shutdowns.

  • GT-N7000 / GT-I9220 platform fit: These models share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The GH43-03640B part number spans the full Note first-generation lineup, so one cell covers all variants listed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a GT-N7000 unit. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, the fuel gauge IC registered full capacity, and the charge IC reached termination voltage cleanly.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

The Galaxy Note's fuel gauge IC stores a discharge curve calibrated to the original cell. A new cell with a slightly different voltage-versus-capacity profile can hit the BMS low-voltage cutoff while the OS still reads 20–30% remaining. The BMS cuts power at 3.0V per cell to protect the lithium chemistry, but the OS hasn't caught up. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by a full charge corrects the coulomb counter and eliminates this behaviour.

Phone reports wrong battery percentage after cell swap

After replacing the cell, the Galaxy Note's fuel gauge IC is still running the learned model from the degraded original battery. Percentage readings can jump erratically or read full charge earlier than expected. The fix is straightforward: drain the phone until it shuts down automatically, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with the screen off. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter recalibrates to the new cell and percentage reporting stabilises.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Galaxy Note won't turn on at all after sitting in a drawer for months — is the new battery dead too?

The BMS locks out below approximately 2.5V per cell to prevent damage from deep discharge. A cell that has drained completely in storage will trigger this lockout, and the phone shows nothing when you press power. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on. If the BMS recovers, the charge IC will bring the cell up from trickle charge to normal voltage and the phone will boot.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after fitting this replacement battery — is something wrong?

This is normal on the first cycle. The charge IC on the Galaxy Note negotiates charging rate based on cell impedance and BMS state. A new, uncycled cell presents higher impedance than a broken-in cell, and the charge IC drops to a lower current tier as a precaution. Run one full standard-rate charge cycle to let the BMS characterise the cell, and fast charging will negotiate correctly from the second cycle onward.

The phone feels warm near the battery while charging — should I be concerned?

Some heat during charging is expected with a new high-impedance cell. The charge IC dissipates more energy as heat when internal resistance is higher, which is normal before the cell is broken in. If the phone becomes uncomfortable to hold or exceeds roughly 40°C on the back cover, remove it from the case to improve airflow and switch to a lower-current charger. After two or three full cycles, cell impedance drops and the heat reduces noticeably.
