The MB1503 is a 3.85V, 2800mAh Li-Polymer cell that fits the Meitu M6, M6s, MP1512, and MP1503 smartphones. These devices lose usable capacity as their original cell degrades through repeated charge cycles — this battery restores full charge capacity. At 92.10 × 55.60 × 3.40 mm, it matches the original cell footprint exactly.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Meitu M6 after a cell swap
This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still reading the old cell's voltage curve. The new cell hits a voltage cliff under modem or display load at a point the gauge hasn't mapped yet. The phone interprets the voltage drop as a fault and shuts down — even though the cell has remaining capacity. One full discharge-charge cycle at standard rate lets the coulomb counter recalibrate, and the shutdowns stop.
Meitu M6 reporting incorrect battery percentage after replacement
The M6's fuel gauge IC stores a charge model calibrated to the original cell's internal resistance and capacity curve. A new cell has different impedance characteristics, so the stored model produces inaccurate percentage readings from the first charge. The fix is straightforward: drain the battery until the phone powers off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without removing the cable early. After one full cycle, the coulomb counter resets its baseline to 3.85V nominal and percentage accuracy stabilises.

My Meitu M6 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is the cell dead?
The MB1503's BMS locks out below approximately 2.5V per cell to prevent damage, and a battery stored uncharged can drop into that lockout range. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for at least 30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS threshold, after which the phone powers on normally. If the charge indicator doesn't appear within an hour, check that the connector is fully seated on the board.
Fast charging stopped working on my M6 after I fitted the new MB1503 — the phone only charges slowly now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the M6's charge IC sometimes falls back to standard charging because it hasn't confirmed the new cell's BMS handshake at the higher current rate. Run one complete standard charge to 100%, then unplug and discharge normally. On the second charge cycle, reconnect your original fast charger — the handshake completes against the now-initialised BMS and fast charging resumes. Do not switch chargers mid-cycle during recalibration.
The Meitu M6 feels warm near the battery area while charging the new cell — is something wrong?
A new high-impedance cell generates more heat than a broken-in one during the first few charge cycles. This is normal and typically resolves after two or three full cycles as internal resistance drops. Keep the phone on a hard flat surface during charging — not a pillow or case — so heat can dissipate freely. If the back becomes hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold after the third cycle, check that the battery connector isn't partially unseated, as a loose connection increases resistance and heat at the joint.
