Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

MeiZu Pro 6 Plus — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BT66)
This is a 3.85V, 3400mAh Li-Polymer cell built to the BT66 specification for the MeiZu Pro 6 Plus and Pro 6 Plus Dual SIM (M686) smartphones. It replaces the original battery when capacity has dropped, the phone shuts down unexpectedly, or the cell no longer holds a usable charge. Voltage and physical dimensions match the OEM cell: 76.20 × 66.23 × 3.72mm.
- Pro 6 Plus and M686 compatibility: The Pro 6 Plus lineup — including Dual and Dual SIM variants — shares the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. All variants listed under the BT66 part number draw from the same 3.85V voltage rail with identical connector orientation.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Pro 6 Plus platform. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake without error flags, and the protection circuit responded correctly to both overvoltage and thermal threshold events during the test sequence.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated coulomb counter — preventing erratic percentage readings from the start.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Pro 6 Plus after a cell swap
A new Li-Polymer cell has a slightly different voltage-to-capacity curve than the aged cell the fuel gauge IC was calibrated against. When the modem fires or the display peaks in brightness, the phone's load spikes — and the uncalibrated gauge reads a voltage cliff as critically low, triggering a protective shutdown. This is not a fault in the replacement cell. One full discharge-charge cycle with fast charging off allows the coulomb counter to re-anchor to the new curve. After that cycle, shutdowns at 20–30% stop on their own.
MeiZu Pro 6 Plus will not power on after sitting in a drawer for months
Li-Polymer cells that self-discharge below approximately 2.5V per cell trigger a BMS lockout — the protection circuit cuts output to prevent damage to the cell structure. The phone will show nothing when you press the power button, and a standard charger may not kick-start recovery. Connect the phone to a low-current USB source (a PC port or a 5W adapter) and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on — this trickle-feeds the cell above the BMS re-enable threshold. Once the screen responds, switch to your normal charger to bring it to full charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
My MeiZu Pro 6 Plus shows a different percentage every time I restart it after fitting the new BT66 battery — is something wrong with the cell?
Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC in the Pro 6 Plus stores a discharge curve calibrated to the old battery — when the new cell goes in, the coulomb counter is mapping against the wrong reference. Run one full discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with fast charging disabled. After that single cycle, the IC re-anchors to the new curve and percentage readings stabilise.
Fast charging stopped working on my Pro 6 Plus the moment I put in the replacement battery — it only charges slowly now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the MeiZu charge IC sometimes withholds the high-current handshake until it confirms the new BMS is responding within expected parameters. This is a protective hold, not a permanent fault. Complete one full slow charge to 100%, then disconnect and reconnect the charger — the fast charge protocol re-negotiates on the second session. If it still defaults to slow charging after that, check the cable; the Pro 6 Plus fast charge path is sensitive to cable resistance above roughly 200mΩ.
The Pro 6 Plus gets noticeably warm near the back panel while charging with the new BT66 cell — is that normal?
A new Li-Polymer cell at full factory impedance accepts charge current less efficiently than a broken-in cell, so more energy converts to heat in the first few cycles. The warmth near the battery bay is expected and decreases as the cell cycles in. If the phone becomes too hot to hold comfortably or the charge IC throws an overheat warning on-screen, switch to a lower-wattage adapter (5W) for that session and let the cell finish at reduced current.
