Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Micromax Canvas Juice 3 Q392 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (Q392)
This 3.8V, 3900mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original battery in the Micromax Q392, also sold as the Canvas Juice 3. It fits directly into the existing battery bay and connects via the stock ribbon connector. Dimensions are 81.00 × 61.36 × 5.22 mm — measure your old cell before ordering if you are unsure.
- Q392 and Canvas Juice 3 compatibility: Both model names refer to the same hardware platform with the same battery bay, connector pinout, and charge IC. One cell fits both.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the Q392 platform. The BMS handshake completed without fault codes, and charge termination triggered correctly at 4.35V.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. The fuel gauge IC maps its coulomb counter to the new cell's discharge curve during this cycle — skipping it causes percentage readouts to drift for weeks.
Why the Canvas Juice 3 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The Q392 uses a fuel gauge IC that builds its charge model from historical coulomb-counting data stored against the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored model no longer matches the actual discharge curve. The IC keeps using old data until it recalibrates. One full discharge from 100% down to auto-shutoff, followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%, forces the IC to rewrite its reference table. After that cycle, percentage readouts stabilise to within a few percent of actual charge state.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the fuel gauge IC still holds calibration data from a worn cell that sagged early under load. The new cell has a flatter voltage curve, but the IC interprets the voltage drop during modem or screen load spikes as a near-empty cell and triggers an emergency shutdown. The fix is the same recalibration cycle: discharge fully, charge uninterrupted to 100%, and repeat once if shutdowns persist. After two full cycles, the IC should track the new cell's voltage curve accurately down to the hardware cutoff at approximately 3.0V.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Micromax Q392 won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?
The BMS locks out the cell when voltage drops below roughly 2.5V during storage — this is a protection trip, not a dead battery. Plug the phone into a wall charger (not a PC port) and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage recovers enough for the BMS to release and allow normal charging. If the charge indicator still does not appear after 45 minutes, try a different cable and adapter to rule out a current-delivery issue.
Fast charging stopped working on the Q392 after I fitted this replacement — the phone only charges slowly now.
On the first charge cycle after a battery swap, the Q392's charge controller sometimes falls back to standard 5V charging because the USB-PD or proprietary handshake runs against an uncalibrated BMS. Complete one full standard-rate charge to 100%, then disconnect and reconnect the charger. Most units re-enable the fast-charge protocol on the second connection once the BMS has logged a complete cycle. If fast charging still does not engage, confirm you are using the original Micromax adapter — third-party adapters often fail the handshake regardless of the battery state.
The battery percentage on my Canvas Juice 3 keeps jumping around erratically — sometimes it gains 10% without charging.
Erratic percentage jumps are the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against a new cell it has no reference data for. The coulomb counter is interpolating between sparse data points and producing unstable output. Run one complete discharge cycle from 100% down to auto-shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with the screen off where possible. After this cycle the IC rewrites its discharge curve map and percentage readings stabilise — most units settle within two full cycles.
