Microtracker SMS / GPRS — 3.7V Li-ion 1050mAh Replacement Battery

This 3.7V Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Microtracker SMS and GPRS portable GPS trackers, including hardware revisions 01-065-0624-0 and 01-065-0625-0. Capacity is 1050mAh (3.89Wh), matching the original specification. It fits the same physical cavity and uses the same connector orientation as the factory cell.

• SMS, GPRS, and revision variants: These four model numbers share the same 3.7V single-cell architecture and identical battery bay dimensions — 51.10 × 34.49 × 5.40mm. The BMS handshake and connector pinout are consistent across all four, so one cell covers the full range.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the GPS platform and confirmed the BMS accepts the cell without fault codes. Cutoff voltage at low state-of-charge triggered cleanly at the expected threshold with no premature shutoff.
• Cold-start procedure after fitting: A full power interruption resets the GPS receiver to cold-start mode. The receiver trades signal acquisition strength for power conservation. Keep the cell above 3.6V under load if positional accuracy is critical during active tracking.

Device shuts off without a low-battery warning

After a full battery swap, the on-device fuel gauge has no calibration data for the new cell. The unit reads state-of-charge from a stored voltage curve, and that curve can be misaligned on the first few cycles. The protection circuit hits the hard voltage cutoff before the visual indicator catches up, so the device goes dark with no warning.
