Fits Motorola LEX L10, L10i, L10ig, and L10ig LTE radios; replaces OEM part numbers PMNN4475, PMNN4475B, and PA33GAB013A.
This 3.7V 4500mAh Li-ion cell delivers full transmit power for the LEX L10 platform without voltage sag during sustained RF output.
Connector slides straight into the radio battery slot with a single locking tab on the left side; orientation marked by gold contacts facing the radio.
We ran this pack through a full PTT cycle on a DP3000e dock; the BMS accepted the new handshake after first contact and held steady current draw on transmit.
If the charger dock shows a fault LED after inserting this cell, remove the battery, wipe the gold contact strip with a dry cloth, and reseat firmly — the Motorola platform requires a clean contact cycle to accept the new BMS before charging begins.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Motorola LEX L10 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (PMNN4475)

This is a 3.7V, 4500mAh Li-ion battery pack for the Motorola LEX L10 professional portable radio. It fits the LEX L10, L10i, L10ig, and L10ig LTE variants. The OEM part numbers covered are PMNN4475, PMNN4475B, and PA33GAB013A.

  • LEX L10 series compatibility: The L10, L10i, L10ig, and L10ig LTE all share the same battery bay geometry, contact layout, and BMS handshake protocol. One pack covers the full platform without any hardware modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and discharge cycles on an L10ig LTE. The BMS responded correctly to transmit-current spikes at PTT press, and protection thresholds triggered at expected voltage floors — no false lockouts.
  • First insertion on a dock: If the charger dock shows a fault LED when you seat this pack for the first time, pull the battery out, wipe the gold contact strip with a dry cloth, and reseat firmly. The LEX L10 platform requires a clean contact cycle to accept the new BMS handshake before charging begins.

Why the LEX L10 cuts out mid-transmission on a new battery

A new cell ships at storage voltage — typically around 3.6–3.8V — not at full charge. When you key the PTT on an uncharged pack, the transmit-current draw spikes sharply, and the BMS can interpret this as an overcurrent event. The radio drops the transmission to protect the cell. Charge the pack fully before the first field use and the BMS will operate against a full voltage headroom, eliminating false cutoffs under TX load.

Bar indicator showing one fewer bar than expected after swap

The LEX L10 uses a voltage-threshold bar indicator — each bar corresponds to a voltage band. A freshly inserted pack at storage voltage sits in a lower band and displays one or two bars even though the cell is healthy. This is not a capacity defect. Put the pack on the dock, charge to full, and the indicator will step up to the correct bar count once resting voltage stabilises above the top threshold — typically 4.1V or higher on a 3.7V nominal cell.

Frequently Asked Questions

My LEX L10 drops to low transmit power after a few hours on shift — is the new battery at fault?

This is voltage sag under sustained RF output, not a faulty cell. As the pack depletes past roughly 3.6V under load, the radio's power management steps down TX output to stay within safe operating voltage. It is not a BMS fault. Check the bar indicator — if it shows two bars or fewer mid-shift, the pack is genuinely low; charge between shifts to keep resting voltage above 3.8V before going back on air.

The dock blinks a fault LED and never starts charging — I've tried two chargers.

If two docks both show fault, the pack is likely below the dock's acceptance voltage threshold after extended storage. Docks on this platform will not begin a charge cycle if the cell is below roughly 3.0V. We recovered packs in this state by using a bench charger set to Li-ion recovery mode at 0.1C until the cell climbs past 3.2V, then transferring to the dock — the fault LED cleared and normal charging resumed.

The LEX L10ig LTE shows a full charge on the dock, but the radio shuts down earlier in the day than my old battery did.

A pack that reads full on the dock but underperforms in the field usually has elevated cell impedance — the dock registers voltage correctly, but the cell cannot sustain that voltage under transmit-current draw. We check this by measuring resting voltage immediately after a full charge: it should sit at 4.15V or above. If the cell drops sharply to 3.9V or lower within the first few transmissions, the internal resistance is too high and the pack should be replaced.
